Community Patch for BNW

Must of misread the code. But what does the trait do anyway, i've never understood FIGHT_WHEN_DAMAGED.
And how the CBP changes that.

It means the damage doesn't affect the combat strength of the Japanese unit, they always deal FULL damage to foes regardless of their health.
 
Any plans to update EUI compatibility files any time soon? EUI was recently updated to 1.28f.

Perhaps, you were unlucky and couldn't find iron? Use IGE to look around the map if there are iron.

Have you researched the tech to reveal it yet? All resources are now revealed only after researching the tech for each.
 
New DLL - Various Mod Components (v 79) contains code to support Civ 4 Diplomacy Features (v 11), and much more... I have long wanted to ask these questions: 1) When do you plan to update Community Patch code from DLL - Various Mod Components? 2) Which version of DLL VMC is now contained in CP? 3) And if CP is updated, it is updated all the code from DLL VMC?) Thanks :)

Just to be clear, C4DF's v11 code came out of the CP and was added to the VMC.

Trying the Patch these days, I have 2 questions:
-In the regular game, when you have the mouse over a tile it shows the terrain as a tooltip but apparently not in the patch? Too bad I find it very useful.
-In the city screen when you try to change the city management (to production for instance, or science or gold) nothing happens, the same tiles are exploited, is that normal?

Your first point sounds like a lua conflict (i.e. your plot tooltips are not working) or you have the timer set very high (5 seconds or more). In either case, make a bug report on github.

Re your second question, try the Modpack version of the mod - it should let you play with achievements.
 
City States never acknowledge any military near them. I could have the largest army the world has ever seen at and within their borders, and it still says "(+0) Military near City-State" when I want to know why I can't demand any tribute from them.
 
Hi guys,

I would like to ask if we should open a support thread, where players can ask questions to current games they play. I for example began a game on Deity with YnAEMP as Greece and I am currently at a point that seems to me like I lost the game. I then would like to have someones opinion on this and maybe I can handle the situation and be able to enhance my playstile. What do you guys think, will it makes sense? If we keep the release of VP in mind, I can imagine that there will be new players that are new to CIV or VP that would like to get in touch with the game or that want to become better.
 
Sounds like a good idea to me though I'm a noob still with the game. Dunno if the main forum or the strategy section would be good for it.
 
First of all - a great THANK YOU for this highly entertaining MOD!

I encounter a problem on a regular basis. At some point in the game the game crashes and i return to Windows without an Error report. This is always happening, when the AI is making it's turn. I'll guess it happens, when the AI tries to make a diplomatic encounter.

I am using just the Community Patch-MOD, using Civ 5 in German language (>probably there could be a cause, the game is mixing German and English language). I am playing on the "Tiny Europe 35x35" Map from Felly.

Hello friends,

I'm encountering an error whenever I try to play with the community patch, both with and without EUI. Civ 4 Diplo options (vassalage, technology, capitulation, etc.) appear in the diplomacy screen in text form but are not functional (can't click on them), and the text options also appear by default in the negotiation boxes and cannot be removed, but again have no real effect. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi!

I suspect that your YNAEMP setup is not getting along well with CP. I suggest the following:

1) Try with the most basic setup without the additional mods first. If it works, then you know your problem is caused by a mod conflict - go to step (2). If you are still getting the errors, then there is something wrong with your CP install and you should reinstall it while following the installation guide closely.

2) Add your other mods, except the YNAEMP ones. If it works, then go to step (3). If you get the errors, see this thread - there are lists of compatible / incompatible mods at the beginning:

See if any of your mods are listed as incompatible. If some of your mods are not included in any of the lists, try removing them one by one to identify the one causing the problem (yes, it is tedious).

to learn about the correct setup of YNAEMP. Not sure if it is updated for the latest version, I recall people reporting having some problems with YNAEMP
 
Just started a game with this mod, and it feels like a whole new expansion! Great work! I was wondering though if the difficulties are equivalent between the full CBP and the base game. For example, if I normally play King on BNW, is King in CBP supposed to be about the same difficulty?

Also, if I may make a suggestion, is is possible to add a way to trade votes for World Congress Host votes? Currently, every civ just votes for themselves, which never makes the outcome very interesting.
