Many of the people who have fled the Middle East in the past ten years (including many who helped destabilize Syria, not intentionally or anything, but these are reasons invading Iraq was a bad idea) were refugees from the Americans. Presumably, in the United States, there is much "sympathy and support" for the American military, not so?
