Crusader Kings 2

I believe the red skull means that they were murdered and that the identity of the murderer is known. If you click on it it should take you right to the murderer's character profile.

This is a feature I appreciate 100%.

Edit: I am assuming you mean recreating the Kingdom of Israel. Anyone can create the Kingdom of Jerusalem via normal kingdom mechanics.

No i ment the kingdom of jerusalem, you need to be a catholic for it for it, and start in 1066, so i wanna know which is the easiest character for it. Since you cant call a crusade like in Medieval 2 TW

Ive already tried a few times as the Khazar, might try it again now with th new patch and possibly more tengri land to conquer (cause suomensko and slavic territory is crap). Playing as the jewish kingdom of semien in ethiopia seems quite impossible in my opinion. You're surrounded by miaphysite, you start with normal money (khazars with 1000), no starting troops...

Are you a king?

Either of the Jewish nations should be easier now that there is more than one Jewish nation. The Khazars didn't have many options for marriage and what not with no other Jewish nations.

yeah its the jewish kingdom of semien if i recall correctly.

Started again as khazars, only reason it is easier is because there is more tengri land to conquer. the two jewish kingdoms are too far from eachother to be of any use. But you're still dependant on byzantines/abbasids getting into a civil war to make progress southwards. and that you can count on no-one for a holy war

Well to be fair the Byzantines and Abbasids are all but assured of multiple civil wars.

The Khazars also suffer from the Mongols attacking.

You could always conquer your way to Somalia and then invade India.

Ive always heard that, but barely seen it when im near to them :p

Do levy laws trickle down?
Suppose the levy law is set on normal (80%), and i'm a king. Do my dukes only get 80% of their vassals?

Started as the brother of abbasid caliph in 867, went quite alright, added egypt en persia , but now ive got a decadent son which i cant straighten up becase of the bug. from 0 to 20% in 2 year

Kill him, you can always breed more sons.

Let the revenge killings begin!! :sniper: :ninja::backstab:

Seems to indicate death where the cause of death is known, not just murder - started a new game a couple of days ago as Mercia and, checking where Alfred had got to, found him with a red skull: "Died in battle against Ivar the Boneless in July 867".

Started that game and played long enough to defeat the initial Viking invasions, but I haven't played further partly due to reports that the game is now heavily bugged. The only apparent bug I saw was when a couple of Welsh armies kept starting a move into Jorvik from the adjacent counties, then stopped, then started again, then stopped... They broke out of it eventually, but I think it may be a consequence of the new attrition system, or at least AI coding to avoid attrition, as they set course for a county I was besieging, checked that they would suffer attrition if they did and so stopped, only to loop for a bit.

Already landed him since he was my preffered heir. Dont understand why he got decadent though, cause his traits were good. Maybe ambitious did it. Also a bit low on money since i build a lot cause cash was flowing in

he also immediatly got declared war on by an emir since i have low CA. Will have to put it on hold. Btw, do invasions against non muslims lower decadence? it doesnt say in the war declaration screen

I've actually started modding it. Seems like a good idea to me.

How many cat pictures will you need for a decent variation? Or cat names? Perhaps we can help you and make this a community thing? People could submit their cat names and pictures (pre cut to your specs) so they could see their own cats in the game? Asking other people to submit pictures and names to you would also save you time having to Google a million cats and crop the pictures and think up names.

We could do that yes.
Here's what I have so far
Code:
male_names = {Jack Maiq Mao Murphy Pickles Pliss Snake Snugglycakes Skittles Truffles Whiskers

		}
		female_names = {Jill Katia Pickles Shafeliz Snugglycakes Skittles Truffles Whiskers
		}
Note that I've set it so male cats are "x ykin" and female cats are "x ykinette", hence Snake and Pliss (Snake Plisskin :p)
EDIT: should mention I have more, like a catolic religion.
