Cybrxkhan's Leaderhead Thread

Well, seems like most of you lean towards #4 like me... So here is Maximilian I, again, generally shadered... I'm pretty happy how he's turned out. Not too ambitious a leaderhead, but anyhow, the only problem is that one half of the face seems to be darker, and I'm not really sure how to deal with that.

Anyhow, I guess I'll punt him out tomorrow.

 That's perfect! That looks exactly like him. You're getting quite good at this, man :goodjob:

(OT: can you give me some rationale on why Vietnam belongs in Civ? I need some argument points and I remember you explaining it well a while back)

Alright, ladies and gents, Maximilian I is up. After him, I just have to finish Afonso and then start Philip Augustus, then I'll be almost home-free for World of Legends (I think I'll save Pocahontas for a much later time).

DOWNLOAD HIM HERE!!!

Whoa! Cybrxkhan is the man! :p

It looks fantastic, I had no idea you were into this whole business. It's brilliant. Non-Shaded LH's have always been my pet-peeve and he's got shaders. Very neat, clean, cool work. Is the model (head?) based off of Joao? I can't really tell. It's very good.

Many things have changed since you left. :mwaha: (Including the fact that I have about 10 or so leaderheads under my belt... :mischief:)

Anyhow, he's based on Sitting Bull, but I just stuffed him in Joao's clothing.

Wow, great work. Everything seems to blend in nicely. The hair and Sitting Bull's head. :p

(I don't recall Sitting Bull having hair...very precise work)

I'm very impressed c.

I really like William and the Kho.... guy too.

Leaderheads tend to be pretty flexible in Civ. I'd say he'd pass for a renaissance guy. And the background looks like venice..

Actually now come to think of it he could pass off as, say, Italian, since I kept thinking he looked like Columbus this entire time.

His mouth looks a little odd on some of the screenshots.
Maybe it's not this visible during animations, but maybe u should still check the rigging for the mouth...
Besides that this is an awesome LH :D

Thank you for all the comments, as always! Maximilian I was a rather simple leaderhead, though. Anyhow...

Alfonso seems to be coming along better. I'm almost done with the rigging, except for that little piece in his upper-right shoulder. The only thing left to do is to sculpt his face and fix that bluish-green texture weirdness at his lower right. Just a quick question, for those who know better - if I play around with the RGB values, does it apply to the whole model, or do the RGB values work depending on angle or something of that sort?

Also, I just realized how anime-like Van der Donck's eyes look. It's really, really, really creepy. Really creepy, especially since I'm Asian and know what all this anime bussiness is about. :shifty:

Anyhow, any further suggestions, besides what I mentioned above?

Yeah, I agree with Mamba (hey! it's been a while).

Just move it up a bit and scale it down. And what exactly do you mean by RGB values? In the material? It depends what the material is linked to. It will affect the entire object that you are messing with, but not the entire model. There are materials linked to the entire scene too, those will affect the whole model.
