Nigeria was in second place in the number of films produced per year. And India, third.
So yea, graph blows.

Indian and Nigerian cinema started mass production only in relatively recent here.
The graph reflects the full history of movies produced, not only the recent years.
So, there is (relatively) no bias here.

The other point is the source of data that may have incomplete records for Indian movies, but still the main point is the one above.

/r/mensrights did a survey of their members some time ago. Here are the results;

India has been producing 200+ movies/year since the 1930s dude.

Less funny when you found out it was spambotted.

While the US has been producing 600+/year...

Since what year? Estimate are surprisingly quite difficult to come by.

And even if the US have been producing twice as much as India for the entirety of cinema history, India is still massively underrepresented in those graphs.

I can't speak to the accuracy of the graphs, because I don't have the source material. It may well underrepresented India, for whatever reason. I just post them because I thought it was interesting.

We're pathetic :sad:

USA #1 in lack of guaranteed vacations!

It's strange, to think that people in other countries don't have to wait for public holidays so they can get time off. It's mind-boggling!

I'm pretty sure Brazil has more than 38 paid holidays.

They have 30 days paid vacations plus an enormous amount of Federal, State and City public holidays (which are of course also paid).

Found the numbers:

Brazil has:

-30 days paid vacations;
-8 Federal holidays;
-3 "moving date" holidays (Carnaval, Good Friday and Corpus Christi);
-1-5 State holidays;
-1-3 City holidays

So the total potential paid time-off is a shocking 49 days. Of course, statistically a lot of those will fall on weekends, so people don't have the whole 49 days. But it's still a bizarre amount.

Brazilians are not big on the whole working thing.

Are Brazilians big on the whole driving around in German automotive technology thing? Because if not, no need to work. :dunno:

Nobody dies in Best Korea. They simply raise to a higher plane of existence, where they meet their Supreme Father and Overlord.

I would have guessed as much.

The only thing that is harder than to make anyone believe you polled a set of 3000 Americans who tunrned out 94% irrelegious and 94% "pro life" would be to actually poll a set of 3000 Americans who turn out 94% irrelegious and 94% "pro life".

Anybody who believes in the validity of that graph must have been exposed to the feminist approach to statistics.
