Isnt it interesting how many people had to suffer through Edrine? I wonder what would happen if you parked a scout there first.
If you can manage Theology by turn 50, you can get a GP on turn 52.

Hey guys, cool down, it's like really hard to get it to turn 70, even if you beeline, what are you talking about? =d

In truth, the earliest I've ever gotten Theology is turn 54, and that's with GL. Without GL, well, turn 70 is still ambitious.
But, if you settled on marble, stole two early workers, saved your gold for a granary, got Mining and Calendar from ruins and had more than one 3 food tile (or even better, 2 or 3 salt tiles), you just .... might .... make .... it.
Even better, play on small (or smaller) maps, where tech costs are 10% lower.
But don't even think about it on large or huge maps, where tech costs are 10% and 20% greater.

So, how many replays does it take to get GL on this map? I did not know that.
I learned so much stuff from your posts lately. Of course I forgot the most already, but it still counts.

I'm lazy and can't remember the last time I opened one. But I'm glad not everybody's like me. So keep it up. 
Are you filming it, tommy? You are a rare person who can post a Deity lets play. Hope to see a couple from you in future. Community is still eager to learn.
the previous deity filmers have moved on to other things i guess. maddjinn does his BtS video but not any civ5 LPs anymore. i think he's doing FE and ES LPs instead. and Wainyciv hasnt done anything since before GnK from what i remember. a good deity LP is sorely needed these days, but they do take effort if you're going to narrate them. those are the best to watch, imo.

I still don't know what happened to ALL the Deity LPers. I know Wainy stopped long before G&K and moved on to other games, but WTH happened to everyone after the Fall patch? Yeah, game got a lot harder, but it was possible to adapt to it.

Well, there is a chance 'everyone' is busy with beta-testing BNW. As much as it hurts me, we'll have to give 'everyone' the benefit of the doubt. For now.

I've been having a go at this map as of late, and after a number of tries, I've managed to emulate some of the earlier BPT's posted. For a late game domination win, my question is: how/when do you fight? Even with a pretty heavy tech lead (artillery vs cannons), I seem to take waaaaaaaaay too long to actually conquer my enemies. Whats the secret?!
