Deity Challenge 2 - Byzantium, Continents

Started this today - played 1. 70 turns and made video of it (uploading atm if some1 is interested)
I seem to be (too) slow, but got myself finaly a army and proly will get petra soon.

Stole some workers early - but not as many as i d have liked too, maybe should have been even more agressive with scouts.

After maya units were wandering for about 10-15 turns he finaly dowed me, but I used the turns to get his gold and rush buy and build some units, so he finaly bribed me for peace

totaly missed that Iwasnt 1. in culture so I missed a Quest which i d have really liked to fullfill, never checked its progress, that made me kinda mad ..

maya filled Tradition superfast it seems ...

wish id screenied this but i saw Berlin with a settled academy at t81 in one of my efforts. caught me off guard. i rarely see any planted AI tiles. i didnt see how but i guess he finished liberty or had 2 sci-pt wonders (gl and something else maybe?).

I spent turns 100 to 162 fighting my way to Berlin. I came within 1 hit of capturing the city but failed because of lack of concentration. I wasted 1500 gold trying to ally Yerevan for no reason and I stopped spending faith on units too soon or else I would have had enough troops to take it. I was down 13 techs to Bismarck the leader, last in almost everything except land, I was number 1.

Turn 93, will be going for cultured or domination victory. currently at 246 culture/turn (don't really know how I did it, never had this high at this stage of the game), explored about half the map, allied the culture states. conquered pacal pretty easily (5 archers and 2 spearman was enough for all his cities). Germany is looking for war, denounced me and calling my army weak. Am in a nice easy golden age. Currently leading in points by a pretty huge margin (see attachment).

I feel like I'm very lucky with how easy it was to kill pacal and also having no barbs disturbing me.

i guess the 246cpt was in the golden age? still, -20% from the GA is still quite impressive pre-t100.

Ya I'm up to turn 150 with culture, I think it's a very easy cultural map with Byzantium....

...as you got nice easy faith bonuses, and no-one else seems keen on wonders, with only Ethiopia keen on religion. In my game Maya hadn't even founded a pantheon when I enhanced, and used the UA (they went tradition, I got HS) to found a religion without the pantheon. Dutch Russia/Russian Netherlands had no religion so my world church is running riot on that continent. Everything seems to be going smoothly in the cultural games atm.

currently building utopia project. 21 more turns. though every other civ in the game hates me and i feel i will be at war soon

Then I think you will be the first one to win any of the posted maps with cultural victory

Impressive, I have not ever tried a cultural victory. I should do.

Please share more details! What policy order, what wonders did (and didn't) you get, what religious beliefs, how many cities, how many puppets, etc.
Not taking Freedom, i just don't get it, that's ridiculously great.

I am extremely impressed.
Seems there are some insanely talented players doing these challenges

Yes everything is extreme with this victory. This map was not even easy at all. It was a pretty hard one for being diety!

More than 900 culture per turn, how is that possible?

the bar has been set, and its pretty damn ridiculous.

600bpt, 530 gpt, 900 cpt, 56 hpt, 110 fpt and all with no age running and pre-200. and NO FREEDOM? im truly mystified. i dont understand that kind of efficiency at all.
