This was my desktop for a couple of weeks:
Last night I switched to this, though, as sort of a transitional piece. I'm still trying to decide on a really good one to switch to for a few weeks. This one has the benefit of featuring my favorite author and amusing me.

also it's a rendering of I believe the oriental pearl tower in china as part of a korean air advertisement. why it's relevant for this month of september & to me is a really weird/nerdy explanation, but it's a pretty picture on its own.

The winner of that tournament retired in like Oct 2010, but is coming back to progaming now in September. Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism regulations require that if you retire, you have to wait a year to be able to come back--there are "progaming" licenses that are regulated. He is the one pictured in the desktop (since he won, he was used in advertisements for the second tournament).
The second had the finals held in shanghai to try to expand/appeal to chinese fans, hence promotions for china.
They two korean air tournaments also spawned very cute advertisements imo
