I don't know why but I have no desire to go out. People say they can't wait for the weekends, but to me, I just want to stay in and play some games or watch a movie or read a book. I rarely go out. Maybe once every two months or if I'm feeling real social, once a month. I don't know why that is. Some people I know think I'm crazy for feeling that way. I thought I was until I read this http://briankim.net/blog/2007/10/top-5-things-every-extrovert-should-know-about-introverts/ Turns out there's a name for freaks like me :) lol

Anybody else an introvert and hate going out on weekends?

I never go out on weekends. I'm not close enough to walk anywhere, the bus system is just annoying to handle, and I can't afford to drive anywhere. Plus, with all of my friends relocated to other cities, and me not old enough to go to a bar, and most other social places not really meant for lone people, but parties of people...

Yeah.

I never go out. I already have a lady friend, and she might be a little jealous if I did go out. Regardless, I never liked going out anyways.

Nothing is forcing you to go out. Not everyone is an extrovert. Some of us are pervert, I mean introverts.

I get bummed if I DONT go out. I try to do at least one social thing a weekend, and one during the week. It's easier during football season....I'll prob be at the local Buckeye Bar every week.

I prefer staying at home playing games most of the time, but I am warming up to going for a nice outing on a weekend with good weather.

I prefer bumming around when it comes to weekends.

Although the occasional outing is still fun.

if I go out, it's to be in nature. I don't like being around other people much.

I like to be where my friends are. In or Out matters not.

Let's see... the stores close early on Saturday. The library closes early on Saturday. I prefer to get take-out instead of going to restaurants. And the other Freecycle staff tends to do their socializing on weekends, leaving me to mind the site. And in any case, I hate crowds.

Nope, I don't go out on weekends, much. Or any other time, really. The last two times I went to a public event, they were political forums.

I used to go out several times each weekend...then at around 25 I starte to lose some interest in it, doing it less and less frequent, though from time to time I still enjoyed it...it just happend that I enjoyed a quiet weekend at home, or a nice bbq with friends (unless that counts as going out?) more than going clubbing.

nowadays, with 2 kids, I know that I'll have to get up early on sunday even if I go clubbing till the morning, which makes the idea lose much of its appeal ;)

I love going out on the weekend. If I don't devote at least one day to social activity and doing something unique on the weekend I get really antsy over the next week.

Of course, when I come back from that social activity I am completely drained and am quite happy to be alone. I do need my one day of socializing though.

That's when I can go out. I live in Everett and driving down to Seattle or Bellevue to hang out with friends takes about half an hour. If I'm going to drive that far, I might as well hang for 4 times the travel time.
