I don't have enemies, I have adversaries. If there are people out there who hate me, then I pity them, for allowing such a feeling to enter and control them.

Same here.

Even if I do have enemies or whatever, I respect them in a sort of chivalrous manner.

I do not love 99.9999999999999% of the people in the world why would I love those who want to kill me.

I don't think I have any enemies. But using my own definition of what is considered love then I don't love very many people anyways.

Substitute the plural of "enemy" if you don't have a particular enemy in mind or if your "enemy" is a group of people or even just a concept or ideaology.

Loving thy enemy is too much of a challenge for me because I tend to be more vengeful whenever someone steps on my toes.

I thought I'd lost that book (a girl I knew in San Diego liked it and lent it to me) but I found it, good book, should I read it next?

It's a landmark book for sci-fi, you should definitely read it; and there's a whole part about Ender's relationship with his "enemy" in it. I thought it was the inspiration for the poll.

Does that happen a lot?

It does to me. If a girl does it though I don't get mad, I just suggestively say something like, "No worries miss, happens all the time, one of the few drawbacks of overgrown extremities ;)"

K, I will read it as one of my next two or three books. :)

I have sworn never to hate anyone, no matter how evil. There is always good in a person, even though all are born into a state of evil. If my enemy fell, I would treat him no differently than if he was my friend.

I can't really answer the question "How do you treat your enemies" though. I've never had an enemy.

As much as we all hate to admit it, we are all morally ambiguous, because we are all human.

I am always disliked and hated, no matter what.
Why do you suppose that is?

I don't hate you. I don't even dislike you. In fact... will you marry me?

Of course we're all human, and many times I've come very close to hating other people. But the mercy of God will see me through I hope.

I am always disliked and hated, no matter what.

But if the hated person returns the abuse, he is no better than his enemy. That's part of the meaning of the Golden Rule.

Edit : People who vote for all the poll options without really meaning it are lame. :shake:
