I am very, very excited to post this because during the game,
I improved my play by ALOT and more correctly understand certain vague tips and tricks that helped me to achieve this victory.
Previously, I could only achieve Domination with China + Western Euros, but I've stepped up my game.
Presenting; my Phoenicia Domination Game!
Monarch, 3000 BC, SVN Revision: 431
Finish Date:
1850
Score:
9159
Vassals were in order: Spain, Portugal, Inca, Vikings, China
All vassals were voluntary.
China only vassalized after I voted for Japan to steal a coastal city from them (Fukushuu). Seriously? That's all it took? I was trying to vassalize them for decades and losing a city was all it took?
Anyways, strategy:
Settled Kition so I could use The Great Cothon to great effect.
Rushed Greece with mercs, kept Athens and Byzantion.
Greece eventually collapsed and then I gunned after Rome.
Collapsed Rome, did some razing and then the rest actually is kind of hazy

In no particular order though, I vassalized Egypt and Persia and took a lot of techs off of them, settled an additional city in Illyria south of the German spawn, endured the Arab, Moor, and Turkish flips (with the Turks, I sent two Riflemen to attack their Caucasus city and they moved out a bunch of troops after I committed an attack (9ish & 1ish health Riflemen! And they didn't counterattack!) and I stomped on their last Longbowman. The Turks respawned the next turn but had no city and only one Axeman. They wandered around for like 30 turns without any cities until they collapsed. Typing in stream of consciousness here.... I maintained 90%-100% on my tech slider for most of the game after reading some of blzzrd's and morff's posts in the vanilla RFC forum (thanks guys!) and switched to totalitarian civics when I was ready to wage war. Shoot, I don't even know what else! I'm so excited!

That was an insane war though, I was fighting against Russia, Austria, France, Dutch, Japan, Aztecs, Prussia, Iran and a few others all throughout. It was seriously intense.
The one-turn after victory map. China would've taken Seoul on the next turn.
Japan collapsed right after my victory and I liberated their cities to China to keep my stability up. Other than that, I have not really pursued post-game.
(Jusos, I beat your score and your time
