Dumb and Stupid Quotes Thread: Idiotic Source and Context are Key.

Isn't decapitation a European, and thus, a liberal and un-American mode of execution?

Not only that, it also practiced by Muslim terrorists and countries!

Proof that liberals and Muslims are colluding to conquer the world! :run:

Lucas' look-alike was depicted as sentenced on a white stage in southern Ukraine on or about Jan. 11, 2011. She can't really be that bonkers.

Can she?

It must be an act.

Mustn't it?

I have reasonable doubts.

Although her argument just doesn't make any sense. I'd think that if a game ends 1-nil that everyone would remember the effer who scored that one goal.

EDIT:

I have a hard time believing he was serious.

I mean someone that nuts would have probably been locked up a long time ago.

It's like one time when I made a joke that Jimmy Carter died 20 years ago and is really just a zombie right now, some people got legitimately offended. Not that I'm surprised, I made a crack about Carter in Georgia after all(although you can't tell me he doesn't look undead)

Obama strange quotes, from http://politicalhumor.about.com/od/barackobama/a/obama-isms.htm:

Obama W said:
"When I meet with world leaders, what's striking -- whether it's in Europe or here in Asia..." -mistakenly referring to Hawaii as Asia while holding a press conference outside Honolulu, Nov. 16, 2011

"We're the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad." —Cincinnati, OH, Sept. 22, 2011

"The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries." --Tampa, Fla., Jan. 28, 2010

"Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel's. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under a McCain...administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change." --Amman, Jordan, July 22, 2008

Although this is in my view the best one:

"Even with $3.7B that's requested, there's no way what's being called for is going to stop the invasion that's occurring...I'm hoping my governor will utilize Article 1, Section 10, that allows a state that is being invaded -- in our case more than twice as many just in recent months [as] invaded France on D-Day-- ...to use whatever means, whether it's troops, even using ships of war, even exacting a tax on interstate commerce...to stop the invasion."

wiki on current mayor of London said:
"Chicken feed" remark

In a July 2009 interview with Stephen Sackur on the BBC programme HARDtalk, Johnson referred to the £250,000 per annum income he receives from his side job as a columnist for The Daily Telegraph as "chicken feed," suggesting that he wrote the columns "as a way of relaxation ... on a Sunday morning," and that he wrote "very fast" so the columns did not take time away from his duties as Mayor.[136] These comments were widely criticised, since the UK was at the time in economic recession and £250,000 is roughly 10 times the current average yearly wage for a worker in the UK.[137]

Responding to these comments, and in reaction to an upcoming restructuring exercise in which more than 100 jobs were expected to be eliminated at City Hall, the trade union UNISON, which represents 350 GLA staff, staged a protest featuring a "penned-up chicken man" being pelted with chicken feed by a Johnson lookalike in a pig mask

Boris. So descent from King George II. Much feed. Wow :)

Okay, first right off the bat you get +1 for doge speak.

Now moving on from that, I fail to see how people should be upset about that. If they have a problem with what he makes, they should take it up with the Daily Telegraph. It isn't like this £250,000 annual salary is coming out of the government budget, so it really has no bearing on other government workers being laid off.
