I believe Luthor is on holiday/vacation till the end of the month... I don't think his availability is very good, if any at all.

Its the holiday season in full swing, most games are barely moving this month. I'm in like 10 games, not all of them that big or complex and still manage to go days without any turns at all. I expect things will pick up as we approach September...

haha they do, there is a "vacation / temporary leave announcement thread"... although not everyone uses it. If you are in multiple games, usually you hear who is away and whatnot.

Tigranes, you should join another game I am starting so we can continue our warring ways elsewhere... its the "Hub - Always War" PBEM game, look for the thread... we need just a couple more players, its gonna be fun That will help ease your civ addiction!

Thank you for the invite, I just like to focus on one game at a time and I always need some kind of historical context to enjoy the game. My real addiction, if it is fair to call it an addiction, is the History with capital H not just fighting people . I almost never play random games myself in a single player, it is always some kind of highly historical mod, I read about history (in our case I read the news ) -- then I want to relive the history to the certain degree. That's why I am a really big fan of RFC mods and never played FfH, for example.

I am sorry I did not see Luthor's announcement...

Don't be sorry, I don't know for sure whether he announced it in the annoucnement thread. I think I remember reading it in our WW2 game, he obviously didn't post it everywhere. Just updating you.

And thats understandable... after this is over I will gladly join another historical type of mod game, those are definitely enjoyable! Except the difference with me is that I don't care about re-creating history as much as I do seeing if I can do better than the historical precedent, even if it means taking a drastic turn of events!

Ahh boo! You know if a game has many players (more than 5) its 1 turn a week, twice maybe

I can't tell you how much I like this game because I can't count that high umm err and that is largely because of you, well and the others of coarse.

I have burnt out 1/2 dozen times from Civ3, BTS etc., over the years, early on it was ladder games with very little variance, today I'm playing a WWII which I would have never thought would happen and again it rates very good in my book.

Well if you change your mind I hope I'm there also

No but its on my list, Is it completed and not being updated?

You can't start a game if it will have updates in the future, it will crash

There will be no updates to 1.04. except for the the scenario update I released in January last year. http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=16298

I found myself struggling with SP1, which developed into a feature pack, so I decided to stop adding stuff and leave it as is and work on a new framework altogether for 2.x

1.0x was based on the European Map. 2.x will be based on a Global Map.
