Victory! The war with Muslim Confederacy is over, technical war between our Ally China and Pakistan-Egypt will be over next turn. The following are the terms of the peace deal:

• Pakistan WILL capitulate to China +
• Egypt WILL capitulate to Russia ++
• Confederacy ALREADY payed 500 gold in cash plus 100 gold to Russia for 10 turns +++
• Confederacy ALREADY paying 50 gold to China for 10 turns
• Ruined and much suffered Iran WILL get compensated with Bahrain --sizable Shia majority there!
• Other Countries WILL get back Kabul and Port Morsbi and further WILL be compensated by Jayapura --no more Muslim attacks on weak AI on the second greatest island on this planet

Russian Army liberated Ahvaz back to thankful Iranian people and started to withdraw back to Russia. Entire country is getting ready to welcome her heroes !

I think I can overlook being ejected via canceling an open border agreement, but this act is quite short of a thank you. A rescue attempt in 9+ turns is now in play for these units, let's hope these units are unharmed or Iran will become history in Today's news.

The Muslim Confederacy does not have much to say, as we are partially vassals of superpowers and left wiped out by the Russian bear... but all we can is "I told you so." Achmedinejad is going to be a problem for EVERYONE.

We tried to make the entire Middle East and combined and free nation, with peace for all. Now... who knows. Let's hope Russia is up to the task of policing the area since they decided they want to determine what happens. Mr. Putin you have become the one responsible for the outlook of the middle east now... you'd better not abandon us.

After some skirmish in the Pakistanese border between Confederates and Chinese troops due to a fight between two soldiers (due to a girl) that escalated, both leaders put a stop to it and sign a contract of peace in which Pakistan commits itself to to start having mandatory mandarin in every Pakistanese school.

May PEACE be with us for a long time!

The Muslim Confederacy generally wants to keep its borders closed and focus on ourselves internally... however if our Russian and Chinese overseers wish to open borders, we unfortunately have no choice but to comply.

Well, I'm kind of trying to create human-human vassal relationship and emulate regular human-AI vassal situation, since game does not technically allow Egypt to be Russian vassal, we would need to create at least an appearance of such a relationship. I even requested the only resource Egypt got -- that poor Coal. I don't mind the rest of Confederacy to have closed borders. You might even consider to retire from Egypt completely, since it will save you loading-reloading times. If you decide to do so please consider to offer me Egypt's income -- I think it is 20 some gold right now..

Great! The Confederacy will be closing its borders next turn then!

I will keep Egypt under my control... when I do this round of turns it is incredibly long anyway, whats one more load? plus I can control the build of that city! ha... it will make it easier to finish off Egypt during my consolidation plans later down the road

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

So it is October again! October 2011, that is. Two-plus real time months and 16 pages later Russia is playing its 12th turn. This past year was anything but uneventful, starting from very surprising Iranian rebellion against Chinese domination and ending with a great peace treaty that return the World back to peace. Well, there are some local phony wars between Turkey and far away Latin America, which in essence are wars of words not actual troops sailing across the Atlantic. It is very rewarding for Russia to compare the score tables now and exactly one year earlier:

As one can see, Russia has shown remarkable progress, gaining 315 points in one year! This is more than any other country, and 6 times more than USA! In fact Mr. Putin was very excited to see that for the first time Russia has EXACT tie with America this turn, precisely the same score of 2499 points, digit for digit, what a great symbolism and coincidence, indeed Our biggest setback of crazy nuking of Vladivostok, one of Putin's most cherished cities, it even has name with the same root as Vladimir Putin's first name. Vladivostok means Ruler of the East while Russian name Vladimir means Ruler of the World... Well, not to disclose any ambitions but Mr. Putin was worthy of his name this year, being electing to UN Secretary General and making his friend President Medvedev completely inconsequential.

October 2011 was marked with the Economic developments, this was also our first event :

Too bad the silly game treats the first turns of the advanced scenario as first turns of the regular BTS game when you start with a Settler and Warrior and don't have to fear the inflation for the next 100+ turns. Should we invest 200 gold to keep current 0% Inflation 25% lower down the long, very long road? Nah, Mr. Putin decided it is not worth it and took the free 10% decrease option, but perhaps couple of real life years later he might regret his desicion
