so getting the Great Wall shouldn't be a problem.
Yes, raging barbs are a huge pain. I've seen them capturing/razing
17 AI cities (replay) on a large/huge map.

Admittedly we were unlucky losing Vienne the way we did. I'm not sure what the odds of an unpromoted archer knocking out a fully fortified CG2 archer are, but they are probably single-digit. If the borders had popped, we'd have copper. With raging barbs, generally having copper will solve the problem. Just stack a few units on the mine and you're good to go.

Prefilight: Look at the map and decide on copper before commerce. Bella is having her way with Brother Wang's improvements.

I move 2 archers to the bronze near Vienne.

Tolosa built in 235.

Wang takes Toledo in 190.

Not much else. Had to deal with one barb spear. No problem.

Finish the worker then chop a settler for commerce town. Hook up copper. Alpha is due to finish.

I'm still here. Just been concentrating on COTM36 (mucho MM'ing and some modern-age warfare on a 'pelago map, going for Space...). Now I have 3 SGs: eldar07 over in the C3C forums (5CC ICS as Spain, Emp, going for conquest... still open spaces!!), this (not my turn at least!) and SGOTM04.

Should be a great challenge to get back into a strong position from this point but with being teamed up with Wang should help us, it'll be interesting
