Enhanced User Interface v1.30m

I'm not sure we have the right to *request* something from someone who makes their work available for others to use for free. *Suggestions* are OK, I would think, but of course the person is free not to take them up. And of course, saying "please" does not hurt. There are people behind the usernames we see here, they have jobs, families, lives, and feelings. Just my viewpoint.
 
I realize most modders here don't like EUI, but fact is a very fast growing lot of civ v players do

You bet we like EUI and so do a lot of modders. The real issue is the interface of CivV is problem one for most people and it is the root of making Civ V better and after that comes mods that change game play. Since most mods do not address the interface as completely and comprehensively as EUI. I use it as my root mod and making it DLC fits perfectly with that concept. Between EUI and whoward I have an incredible interface now. Kudos to both of you.

Plus, keep in mind the best major mods like CSD, Diplomatic Features, and many more (no slight intended if your mod is not listed) well with very few modifications needed to incorporate them together. So I say thanks for the awesome mod and thanks to the mod community for everything you all do.

EUI shows that info in a more concise manner, unless there is a bug for vanilla

Regarding culture from CS, I can see (in the popup and in the ribbon mouse over) both the resources and food granted by a CS, but not culture, so at the moment I think it's a bug for vanilla. (I hope I'm right in thinking that is the 'more concise manner' you were refering to).

Regarding Pledge to Protect, the button is not visible when not friends or allies. In the example I uploaded, I am allies with Kuala Lumpar and friends with Katmandu; In both cases the button is shown but does not function. (The button is not shown for neutral Quebec)

vanilla pledge is broken - you can check this without EUI (close & reopen the city state dialogue screen after a pledge)
It seams like I am not able to build any scouts after I researched Scientific Theory. Is this a bug?

Last time I had that issue I was using whoward's notifications mod, diplomatic features, csd, and whoward's dll mod. Once I got the install correct, it fixed the issue and the problem evaporated. That was around EUI v1.17 or so. Since then not a sign of it.
 
Bug:
When a spy is assigned to a City State, and spy icon appears on ribbon in front of CS button, the tooltip for the CS quests does not work.
 
I'm only using Various Mod Comps + Civ IV Diplo + CSD mods. I don't activate anything from whoward dll.
I assume your are using the above mods and EUI v 1.20

Various Mod Comps DLL is from whoward69.

To make these mods work together with EUI you must follow the opening post on EUI and for DLL - Various Mod Comps + Civ IV Diplo + CSD mods. The instructions must be followed carefully and includes a very minor code edit. Any deviation will result in some strange glitches due to multiple dll's running at the same time. Unfortunately code limitations only allow one dll to be active so whoward69 has created one that will combine these mods so they may be run at the same time.

If you are running no other mods except those listed above and have followed the instructions in the two threads listed above then I have no further ideas on why your cultural notifications are not being removed each turn.

For the life of me I can't see what I'm doing wrong. I'm also using quick turns, no more civillon traffic, and smart ai along with CSD and Diplo mods and EUI. Another thing about the notifications is if I click on them they don't take me to the hex.

Both of the issues you mention are a pretty common issue. I've had that issue since I started using EUI, myself. It's not too big of a deal, since you can make them disappear by right clicking them, but yeah.

Well I dropped whoward69 Various Mod Comps + Civ IV Diplo + CSD mods and it all started working. I'm now using EUI, Quickturns, CSD, without any problems. As for right clicking on them it didn't work for me. I had to save and reload to get rid of them. :(
 
Is it possible for the "Religion Enhanced" and "Reformation Belief Added" popups for AIs to state exactly what the AI chose for these eg "Jesuit Education" instead of some generic popup if the player has access to that knowledge via the Religion screen ?

ie Something like this :

Reformation Belief Added
The Maya have added Jesuit Education to their religion Catholicism.

Instead of:

Reformation Belief Added
The Maya have added a reformation belief to their religion Catholicism.

Which necessitates that I go click on the religion button and switch to the Beliefs tab to find
out that info.

I have one request : is it possible to make a tooltip in diploscreen for luxs as you made for research agreement. Sometimes, when an AI renews a deal we have no information about lux we own. Example : Itrade one ivory for one gold 30 turns ago. Deal end, AI offer the same deal. Sometimes we lose this lux (a copy from CS, pillage, trade it with another AI...). So during the deal, I'm not able to know if I have 1 or more copies of this lux. A tooltip who remind number of copies when I mouse over will be helpful.

Two observations :
- I can't zoom in city screen. Is it normal or do I miss something ?
- Same question for terrain info. It seems to vanish. So I can't know if a forest or jungle is an hill except if I zoom to see it. It's pretty hard for jungle tiles.

If you use any mods (like 'Smart AI') along with CSD and Whoward's combined DLL, there will be major problems, as they both have DLLs. You can't do that.
