Archduke Franz Ferdinand's father Archduke Karl Ludwig
Spoiler:
As you all know, in 1878 the treaty of Berlin was signed and it stated that Serbia was it's own country. This all changed in the year 1903 when a military coup took over the government. Serbia began to become increasingly nationalist and began to degrade it's neighbors relations. Russia supported the Serbians as they continuously became stronger. They decided they wanted to recreate the Empire they had in the 14th century. Serbia began to fight with it's neighbors. In the last two years, they have taken Macedonia and Kosovo from the Ottoman Empire. The Balkans became unstable and we decided to move in and stop the instability. We were welcomed with protests and attempts to assassinate several Austro-Hungarian officials. These attempts have been proven to have been supported by Serbia. Under orders, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir to the throne, went to command the army in Bosnia-Herzegovina this month of this year. After performing several maneuvers, he and his wife planned to go to Sarajevo and open the new state museum there. On June 28th, the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie of Hohenburg, were shot dead in their car. They had taken a wrong turn and the driver stopped the car so he could put it into reverse.
The car stalled. The assassin ran out, pistolwhipping a few bystanders and shot the Archduke in the jugular vein and the Duchess in the abdominal area. The driver attempted to save them but it was not enough. They were beyond saving before they had reached the Governor's Residence.
Anti-Serbian riots broke out in the streets of every city in Austro-Hungary as war was demanded by the masses. The crowds were calmed down by the army. For two days, the Austrians asked the Serbians to start an investigation. They fully refused and said that they had nothing to do with the assassination. Austria performed a full investigation and persuading the skeptical Hungarian Count Tisza, the only step left to war was the confirmation that Germany would honor the Alliance.((Basically a request to form an alliance))
To prepare for the soon to come war, tanks, artillery, and infantry were commissioned and put on the front lines near Serbia.
90 territories((180 CP))
20 tanks for 80 CP
20 Artillery for 60 CP
40 Infantry for 40 CP
