What do you guys think about the newest internet canadian cooking sensation, Epic Meal Time?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epic_Meal_Time

Basically, a bunch of Canadian twentysomethings created a youtube cooking show, focusing on outrageously caloric meat-based dishes (such as a 50,000 Calorie Cheeseburger)...basically cooking like Warpus. (Bacon strips and bacon strips and bacon strips and bacon strips). They were recently on the Leno show, and will likely have a TV cooking show on either Comedy Central or Spike. I dunno how to do that fancy Youtube Embedding, but I've linked to a few of their videos here.

Do you think they are funny? Would you ever eat something like this, or cook it? Is it popular because of its outward rebellion against the organic craze, or just because Harley is a funny guy? What do you KNOW about COOKIN? :crazyeye:

Frankly their attempts to be "cool" and "hardcore" by adding lots of alcohol just seems childish...

I would have expected this from Americans.. not Canadians..

Damn that was hilarious downtown, lol. I really liked the Breakfast of Booze.

I liked their bird in a bird in a bird in a bird in a bird in a bird in a bird in a pig covered in bacon

Bacon contains several important minerals and nutrients required for the development and growth of bones, muscles, and grey matter.

Don't get me started on forced over-gluttony for the sake of it/"entertainment". It infuriates me.

I liked the Dr.Pepper glaze they used, and garnishing the dish with Baconators. Nice touch.

Just avoid it? It's not like it's taking over all forms of media.

The lesbian bacon segment sealed the deal for me.

Watching them create such monstrosities is quite entertaining.

Yes. No, no. Both. I'm learning.
I like that they make everything from basic ingredients too.

I have to say that the only bacon I like is Canadian Bacon, but I think I'll skip this show since I'm trying to lose weight.

As much as I am an avid bacon supporter and worshipper, I find the baconators to be somewhat average.. I'm not sure what's wrong with them, but I prefer a bt (bacon, tomato - i don't really eat lettuce, as it is filler)
