Fallout 3!!!@!@

there I was rejoicing to see Fallout 3 soon, only to learn the the 13 days doesn't refer to the release but to the release of a teaser trailer :(

Yup
Happy happy joy joy.

Let's hope it'll be released in 2007. :)

Must say I like the art on the site. I want wallpapers.

DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been waiting to see somthing on this game for years now.

I love the Fallout franchise. Fallout 1 is one of my all-time favorite games. Not so much a fan of Fallout 2, but Fallout: Tactics was pretty fun.

Of course, they're all inspired by probably the greatest (in my opinion) PC game ever made... Wasteland. :king:

yes i have heard it is running on the Oblivion Engine

Please don't be like Oblivion... Please don't be like Oblivion... Please don't be like Oblivion... Please don't be like Oblivion... Please don't be like Oblivion... Please don't be like Oblivion... Please don't be like Oblivion... Please don't be like Oblivion... Please don't be like Oblivion... Please don't be like Oblivion... (I like Oblivion, but I don't want two games that are similar! (if you know what I mean))

God, i hope not. I hate Oblivion.

I don't mind it being on the oblivion engine, but i truly don't want it to degenerate into a first-person-shooter. I think that the designers are going to need to make some awesome features and a whole lot of "post-apocalyptic roleplaying"

I wouldn't mind it if it was a cross between Elderscrolls-ish-like-something RPG and Half-Life 2. I've always wished there was more ineraction in HL2 or if there was an RPG mod with less fighting.

HL2 was as lame like all scripted, linear FPS out there like call of duty. I think that they will need to focus on making this Fallout 3: the RPG, not Fallout 3: Another Crappy FPS

That's not what I meant. I said that I wish there was a cross between Openended RPG and HL2 that wasn't linear, in fact I thought that was clear (but I can see how it could be misread). The HL2 part is because of the game's engine and graphics also (what it can do).

Off-Topic a bit: Also, I happen to quite enjoy HL2 and CoD Sinlgeplayer even if they are linear and scripted. And there's still multiplayer and mods (for HL2) that are a TONNE of fun, if 'arcadey'. On topic: But yeah, it isn't a shooter series.

Ok, i think i was being melodramatic. and i have played and beaten HL2 and CoD2, the problem is, i wont ever play it again; while i will install oblivion again to work on stuff i never beat first time round.

Oblivion is a cool game. I enjoyed it. I'm actually playing it through for the second time... because the first time I beat it I only did the main quest, and practically ignored 3/4 of Cyrodiil.

It's no Civ4 though. :goodjob:

Honestly, I think the Oblivion engine is perfect for Fallout. Fallout is known for it's immersive environment, and so is the Oblivion engine. I think it's gonna be sweet. You get a little FPS in there with the guns (hopefully scopes, laser sights, etc).

I just hope they do the dialog a little better than they did with Oblivion. That was one big drawback to that game... the NPC's didn't seem that "alive". Beth needs to go balls-to-the-wall with the dialog, and make it "real". It should be at LEAST rated "M". :crazyeye:

In the mean time, a good alternative to Fallout 3 right now is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I love that game. It really draws me in. It has that whole eerie, creepy mood to it.

I just hope it's just as customizable as Oblivion is. I could make some really sick s#!t with Fallout.

Played it. I remember there were others who played it.

Too hard for me - old school rpg-s like that are not for me. :)
