Farownes02 Revived!!!!

From: Terra Trifluentia
To: Tephen, Keeleh

Fellow followers of Veneratio Atavorum, we have helped you many times over the centuries. We call upon you now in our hour of need, to ensure that civilization is not erased from this land. Let us fight together as the brothers we are, and triumph in our unity. (OOC: PM me.)

TO: Terra Trifluentia
FROM: Imperial Tephen

It is time we purge our enemies from the pages of history. An army will be sent at once to aid in the destruction of Taruq.

Ramain or Ontania? With Ramain, I will get the bonus with a strenghtening economy and as a raising power... Ontania? Heavily Uniflied and Seperated from the Main Cradle... Well... Farrow suggests that I should ask other players... would some give me their unbiased opinions?

We would like to establish basic trade relations with your empire and allow the merchants from each kingdom to not be killed by the other faction's people. Is this workable?

We regret the actions we had to take in Modlvi, but believe they were justified. Modlvi's government denied its people one of their basic rights--freedom to worship as they chose. Before taking action, we allowed the government sufficient time to fix their ways, and yet they did nothing--or it would have been better if they did nothing. For while they delayed, they committed the unspeakable crime of perpetrating war against their own people. We implore you, show your support for the people of Modlvi rather than the government which has proven itself illegitimate, and prove yourself truly civilized.

All we can see with this action is an unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation. Worse, it appears that you invaded this nation to push Veneratio Avatorum upon them. We want some assurance, you see, that, now that our borders are smack-dab next to each other, that we won't be invaded to "free" the people of Dualism or anything similar.

We would of course love to trade with your people.

If you allow your people the freedom to worship as they choose, and do not kill them for following a religion that is not the governments, they will have freedom. Surely this seems like a minimum standard for civilization--and it is one, we regret, that Modlvi did not meet.

So we do meet the minimum standard for civilization! That is heartening indeed.

Such a quandary we are at now, then. Modlvi had spead Dualism into its lands as payment for sacking the Jewel of the Mountain [Koraoguradokil, the town rich in mineral wealth]. If we do not defend them, then we shall appear cowardly, unwilling to defend the faith. If we do defend them, we get dragged into a war we do not wish to fight.

How about a compromise, of sorts? Withdraw from Modlvi and we ourselves will ensure that such heinous practices do not continue. We defend our faith and avoid a costly war.

Maybe you should commission a player to do a name map for ya, Farow... like me?

Sure go ahead!

I also noticed you did not build the city I paid for. Did you get my orders?

Of course I did. It is a mistake on the map. Like I said I will add something for you in the update. Sometimes nations do not get mentioned depending how much time I have.

OOC: Great update Farow!

IC:

To Dilhavia's Scattered Remains
From Karankoff States

We will allow all Dilhavian refugees into our country. As long as you don't have a criminal record or cause trouble, you will have all the rights of a Karankoffian citizen.

You will need to use military force. The area is too disorganized and anarchic to use diplomacy.

Charles Li, you need to choose what nation you want to play yourself. Once you do that you are halfway there. I listed the benefits of both nations but I would if I were you choose Bhatonia. Once there I am going to ask you to spend more time then a couple minutes on orders. You do not need to write a book for me but try and put some detail or effort into them. I would say put at least 3-4 sentences under domestic and military. Include names, domestic reforms, and stuff like that. There is an order thread somewhere around here if you want to dig it up for more examples. Players here might also be willing to share their orders if you do not copy them. If you put some effort into this NES then you can play but your last orders you did not even really think about except maybe spending when the story part is the most important.

Finally, PC stats are up. Still working on NPC stats which all are finished except a few. I need to make some alterations still but their military strength should be correct.

OOC: *smacks farow* I told you those 9 EP are to be "lost" due to the political turmoil. Don't bank them :p

Speaking of which, can I have the 6 or so eco from last turn? I'm okay with losing them, seriously, as it was my fault that I didn't send orders in time, but they could come in handy.

This is agreeable. We never had any intention of occupying these lands, only of ensuring that Veneratio Atavorum could freely be practiced there. As long as this condition holds, and as long as something is done to compensate or remember those who were killed by the government of Modlvi for their religion (perhaps by the building of temples or a great shrine, which we will gladly contribute funds to), we are satisfied.

EDIT: NK, respond to my diplo!

Here is a link to Update Eighteen that you can put on the front page, Farow. Also, I'm gonna do that little map now.
EDIT:

Ok, I got tired of doing the map, and it started to get a little sloppy.

farowmap.png

As you can see, it's not 100% perfect... kinda just testing my new image editing program, seeing what looks good, etc.
The larger size is much more pleasing to my eyes, personally.
I think Tereno looks much better and it's colonies are much easier to differ from all the other freaking blue nations in the Great Sea.
I wasn't sure of what some of the nations were either, heh.
Oh yeah, and Keeleh should be a lighter green, but I didn't feel like it.
Anyways, thoughts?

Sorry but that just won't work. We can use Iggy's style with just tiny words within the borders of the country. No need for colors or big bold words. It crowds the map.

Nice to see you've decided, Luckymoose.

Looks alright just make the font in the nation's smaller. Just a little too big and it will be hard for me to work around.

Can't wait to see the final copy.
