I am in a small minority of people who never drink any coffee (i tried it 2 or 3 times, never liked it). I also do not drink alcohol (used to up to the uni years, but again never really liked it and was never much of a drinker, although i did like some sweeter alcohol such as cogniac or liquier (spelling?) ) :)

But i do indeed drink A LOT of coca-cola. Many days a full 1 litre-bottle... I am on the thin side of things, and walk daily, but i just love drinking those sugary soft-drinks :)

100% not from concentrate fruit juice, squeezed to refrigerated in <48, preferably <24 hours.

Not a coffee fan either, but I've heard it's quite popular so should probably be on the list...

The poll needs to be multiple choice.

I drink more pop than I should, but I also love cranberry juice, and make the effort to drink milk. As for tea - it's tolerable, if laced with a great deal of honey, and if it's a once every few years kind of thing.

Coffee is abominable stuff.

:O

I will PM a mod asap, but i suppose they won't be able to alter the thread option even with cancelling all votes up to now?

Sorry, i forgot to add coffee :(

(milk, as Valka said, can be added to, it would be nice..)

It all depends on the situation. My favs would be something like this:

Breakfast: tea. Lunch: juice or water. Supper: beer or wine. Evenings: coffee.

I generally drink a lot of tea. I rarely drink any soft drinks, too sugary for my taste.

Yeah, it totally depends on the situation.

I drink a lot of tap water. At work that's most of the stuff I drink, as well as when I'm just lounging around at home. I used to drink a lot of pop - but it's not good for you at all, so I have been cutting back. Water is delicious. In fact, I am drinking some right now.

I have a tradition of always buying Fanta Orange after a long hike. And white chocolate. It started in Patagonia - at the time it wasn't very easy to find Fanta orange in my corner of Canada, and in West Germany Fanta Orange was my favourite drink. So when I found it in Chile, I went wild. It felt AMAZING after a 5 day long hike through the Andes. So now I always try to buy it right after a long hike, and every once in a while when I want something refreshing (It's a lot easier to find it for sale here now).

I will buy an occasional Coca-cola classic for the caffeine. Some days I just need a coke.. It usually happens during coding sessions. Once a week or so? Twice a week sometimes? I'm trying to cut down, and sometimes I'll go for weeks without, but sometimes I'll have one a day for a couple days in a row. It depends - but yeah, Coke is my guilty pleasure. It deserves an honourable mention.

My favourite sipping drink for after-work purposes is chilled Żubrówka. It's a Polish vodka infused with sweet grass that the Bison love to eat. The result is a very smooth taste that you can easily sip from a whiskey-like glass, like a gentleman might.

For an alternative post-work happy hour beer, I do enjoy a hoppy IPA. I love the flavour, as long as it's not overwhelming. It needs to be just right. Several brands accomplish this - but the popularity of hoppy beers is so through the roof these days, that I always seem to have something else in the fridge. So I can't give you one specific name. I also don't mind a good dark beer for the purposes of "the first post-work beer". The 3rd/4th/5th beer, if it happens, might as well be a pilsener. The taste gets lost after a couple beers, so I tone it down accordingly.

For construction work, I like to drink pilseners, such as Pilsner Urquell, Lech, or something similar. It's a smooth beer, with taste that doesn't overwhelm - very refreshing for hard work out in the backyard.

For a hot summer day, I prefer a German or Belgian wheat/weiss beer, such as Erdinger or .. well, anything Belgian, really. Stuff flavoured with a bit of orange is ideal. Works very well for a hot summer day.

For shots with friends, in order to celebrate an extraordinary event, mourn a depressing event, or just a "for your health" type of shot, I turn to Luksusowa vodka, Wyborowa vodka, or.. well, even Zubrowka. Chopin is good, as well as Sobieski, or even Stolichnaya.

These are my favourite drinks for their appropriate occasions.

Daily addictions:
-Water
-Coffee (one grande size cafe au lait or latte in the morning)

Specialty drinks from time to time:
-Vanilla milkshakes made with ice cream
-Red wine
-Root Beer or Cream Soda as my soft drink vice

@Warpus: Fanta (orange) is great too, but only if you drink it alone or with eating candy/similar. It obviously doesn't go well with meat or such foods ;)

Coffee, although I only drink during vacations since it's not good for my stomach (ie the quantities I get at work). 2nd is soda.

But i do indeed drink A LOT of coca-cola. Many days a full 1 litre-bottle... I am on the thin side of things, and walk daily, but i just love drinking those sugary soft-drinks :)

^I LOVE sugar.
Sounds like me a few years back. Pro tip: you could easily loose a few kgs by switching to nocarb cola.

I like just about any beverage in the right context, but I'd say the things I drink most are:

coffee
beer
water
wine
whiskey
tea
juice
milk

in that order. only time I drink soda is when I'm pairing it with a liquor of some kind.

Nothing beats a Cola for me, especially a Coca Cola Vanilla (sooo sad it's not sold here).
Though I do drink hot tea (as a low calorie alternative), coffee, juices and I have a decent tolerance for high grade alcohol, as long as it's not diluted with methanol or whatever makes cheap booze so terrible.

Beer I just can't stand, the taste is terrible and before I'm at any appreciable level of drunkenness my vomit reflex makes me feel terrible for the rest of the night.

Yes, i would surely lose up to 5 kilograms by just not drinking coca-cola (zero), but i would have to make that decision, and currently i am not needing to lose weight anyway (not that i would dislike it if i would)..

One litre of cola? Amateur.

A fellow coke addict?

(you are nearer to Kosovo too :mischief: )

Tap water for me. Thanks.

It's what lions drink. You often see them lapping at stand pipes in the Serengeti.

Though tell you what: I'm now popping out for a quick beer with my favourite mistress.
