[FfH II Art Team Blog]

The invisible health bars are a problem, at least for me.

Yesterday i had a strange thing. I started a game and I had no HUD at all. I was not so bad as you may think :) There was space everywhere.

Now I think it was the reason that I installed and runned FF for the first time with the new HUD. On Vanilla FfH2 it looks gorgeous except for the health bars.

I cant wait what will you make for the religious specific HUDs.

*head pops from excitement*

here is some teasing guys... nothing is finished, everything subject to change (maybe they will not even be used for grigori ;) )

Simple and effective; pretty much exactly what I expected the Grigori low-levels to look like. I think perhaps the guy third from left could pass as a scout.

This includes the most recent version of everything (including pedia, terrain, icons, etc and such). I beg you to use all the files to replace the ones I already sent you, as I am not sure which one were already up to date.

I would like you guys to play with it and tell me if it improves the overall feeling or if something is missing / wrong or e.g. if it has some serious performance issues

again, 2 downloads, just to make sure ;)

The files inside the HUD folder go into your main FfH folder and replace everything (if there is no "do you want to replace..." popup, then you did choose the wrong folder...).

I m into unit creation again.

My Statistics-screen stopped working after installing the new HUD, has this happend to anyone else? If not I guess I'll just install 0.33 again.

Yeah, I played around and both F9 and F5 were broken. Solution is simple though :)

Go to Fall from Heaven 2032/Assets/XML, you'll find a file in there called CIV4ArtDefines_Interface.xml. Move this file to Heaven 2032/Assets/XML/Art and tell it to go ahead and overwrite the file which is already in that location.

thanks guys,

Here is an update for the HUD, fixing some stuff and a first try to make the health panel visible,
please try it and give me feedback:

Just popped in to let you know that the screens for the F5 and F9 buttons were out of commission but you've already provided an updated version. I've tried it out and I can see my units green health bars now in the latest version too. The only three snags I've run into so far, and you've already corrected them. Thank you.

I've been enjoying the new HUD. It has good opacity, neither too transparent or too solid. It's easy on my eyes. I don't miss the mana node count list in the top left corner. It's nice to get back some of that screen real estate.

It's a nice HUD. Looks very polished, and I hope it gets included in the next main release so more players can enjoy it.

The new HUD looks very good. The health bars are now nicely visible, and the adviser buttons look much better than before. Only two problems: there's a pink block around the new armageddon counter and one where the mana display should be (but isn't). Personally, I don't mind the mana display being removed from the main screen, as it's perfectly accessible in the city screen. But that pink dot looks kind of silly....

Nope, those files no longer exist anywhere at all. I don't know how that happened; it's not like I've been mucking around in those folders. Probably something Vista-ish when I copied the new files in.

Hmmm, mine looks even worse. The pink boxes are present and the transparency is not present on many layers.

I will check in options if it is not a problem of the 'master of magic' menu option.

That one is certainly interesting :) You have pieces of the HUD from before this one peeking through. I would suspect that a few of the files from the zip didn't actually overwrite the files already present. Though the top right corner ought to have also been old-style if NONE of them were overwritten.

This is the very old hud, one of my first tries... and the fix applied (which was intended for the new one ;)

If you want to make everything sure... reinstall FfH and apply this:

and then the hud fix.

Oh, now I get it. :)

Have five different FfH directories with different mods applied, now, witch one was the original backup one? Hmm...

Great work so far. I really like the new look.
