FfH trivia game thread

Ravens used to replace Hawks for all Evil civs (except the Balseraphs, who had Parrots). The Sidar also have Ravens.

Here are my guesses and reasons. I doubt I'm right, but here goes nothing:
Snake - Sheaim; the serpent may be the symbol of Agares, but the locusts fit the Infernals too well.
Deer - Ljosalfar; cuddly woodland animal.
Scorpion - Clan of Embers; wild guess
Phoenix - Mercurians; I could argue for the Clan (fire) but the Phoenix seems a perfect symbol of angelic rebirth.
Ram - Khazad; process of elimination, since they sure aren't the scorpion. Plus UU.
Lion - Malakim; they summon sand lions, for crying out loud!
Bat - Calabim; cliched, but I'm going with it anyways.
Elephant - Grigori; stealing Magistar's answer.
Rabbit - Kuriotates; it's so cute and fluffy.
Dog - Bannor; deep dedication to law.
Eagle- Amurites; I dunno, I'm steaing Magistar's answer.
Wolf - Doviello; fairly obvious.
Rat - Lurchiup; I see them as being sort of pack-rats with their magical goodies.
Chimera - Balseraphs; so CRAZY!
Owl - Elohim; I think it's mentioned somewhere or other that they're connected... some 'pedia entry, if I'm not mistaken... I could be wrong, though.
Panther - Svartalfar; dark and shadowy. Plus they ride 'em.
Horse - Hippus; obvious
Raven - I like Sidar for this one.
Whale - Lanun; it swims.
Bear - Illians; obvious.
Locust - Infernals; they destroy everything.
EDIT: Red are the ones I'm 100% confident in. Most are stolen from Magistar, whose list I quoted and re-arranged... but I'd like to add a vote of confidence for the Dog/Bannor. Not as grand as you'd imagine the Bannor symbol being. But it makes sense, IMHO.

An amazing 18 right!

The only missed in this is:

Chimera- Sheaim
Rabbit- Balseraphs
Snake- Kuriotates

I can definitly understand the confusion, especially around those three as we haven't used their totem in any of those. The Dragon was probably the most fitting totem for both the Kuriotates and the Sheaim, but rather than have them share the same (and i couldnt decide which fit more) they were both given dragon-like totems. The snake is intended to be in more of the healing aspect of serpents rather than the poisonous, though I know that a lesser used symbol of snakes in modern thought.

The rabbit for the balseraphs is both odd and perfect.

Your go KillerClowns.

Yeah, that makes sense. I almost chose the snake for the Kuriotates on account of the hissing sound of Ss in their tongue. Also the Lamia...

Wow... I did that well? I went with my gut on the Lurchiup and Bannor... guess it was a good idea. I'd like to thank all the rest before me, though, for doing most of the hard work. I just added a few insane guesses that hadn't been done before, and pulled off a miracle.
I'd have never figured out the rabbit, though.
Anyways. Open floor.
EDIT: Playboy bunnies. And now it makes perfect sense.

Magister mentoied here that Grigory medics can act as an unlimited supply of High priests.

Question is: What is the next way, althrough a little tricky, to also get a unlimited number of High priestish units? (Without WB, of course.)

Edit: Selfpwnd. Nevermind.

No, i didn't mind Flesh golem. Divine promotion is not transfered. But I've tought that mimics can steal it, when they can already steal hero promotion. But I've now tested it, and they can't so sorry, and open floor again.

As MC keeps telling us, Grigori medics can get high priest spells if they start with a religion.

What is the highest possible level you can get on any unit?

Obviously this is with vampirism because I don't know of any other way besides WB to get units beyond level 10 or so without lots of combat. I know arcane and disciple units do slowly gain xp over time, but it's too slow in comparison to vampirism.

the answer is infinite, there is no limit

I suppose the answer is infinite. Although I think the meaningful level before you run out of promotions (depending on the unit) is probably about level 30, or more for some units.

You only gain a level when you SPEND the experience. So there is a limit, and it depends on your unitcombat. I would presume that Arcane Units have the most available promotions (don't get any free from multiple Mana Sources and you have 3 per spellsphere). And of course if you have Hero that opens up a couple more.

Ok, I checked the XML and there are 98 promotions available to UnitCombat_Adept.

27 of those have the Pre_Req Tech of Never (cannot gain by XP)

Have to be Hero, and Demon to get a few of them, so we'll assume that you are (Gain Hero through an Event or something, and Demon through the Infernal Grimoire).

So the maximum Level you can ever get is 71, with a Hero Demon Archmage who has avoided getting any of the wrong free promotions all game long (to include upon building it)

Ah, forgot about the free promotions for upgrades. Good catch kenken :)

My question then since nobody else has grabbed the open floor :)

What section of the Civilopedia contains the most references to the real world? (ie - Technologies, Units, Heroes, Buildings....)

Resources, if I'm not mistaken.
Open floor if I'm right, but I could be wrong so don't jump on it.
