FfH trivia game thread

Death, Entropy, Law, Fire (sort of, as it is a summoned unit but not an extra panar creature), Chaos (in my version I brought Chaos Marauders back), and Ice (also in my version)

(I'm also considering making basically all the summons be Dimensional I/(appropriate spell sphere) II cross sphere spells.)

I'm not sure an opinion question like that is really valid, since you wouldn't be able to tell if it was right or wrong. You'd just have to take the poster's word that they are giving their honest opinion, and any answer could be right or wrong depending on the answerer.

Of course, you could also argue over whether the Overlords were ever really alive, or whether you can kill that which has no life.

Hesetant Statement: Well...Yes. No! umm, Maybe?
Seriusly, thought probably not, since most of Hemah's creations end when Hemah awiks, but Kethra and The Overlords still exist, so they are probably here to stay, even if Hemah Dies.

@Magister - That which is not dead can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die.
In all seriousness, I suspect that the Overlords, if they are merely Hemah's greatest nightmares, will easily outlive him as Darksaber says.

If Hemah dies, do you think it will kill the Overlords:confused::confused:

An excerpt from the Beltane Cycle chapter 4:

Devon burst through the study door with sword in hand, followed by Mages loudly claiming there was nothing threatening the guild. Devon raced across the room, yelling for Thessa to get back but she didn’t listen. Instead she channeled a pulse of arcane energy into the room to disrupt any defensive spells Hemah may have active. The mages stopped in alarm as Hemah’s invisibility spell dropped and the masked figure popped into view.

Devon ducked under Hemah’s arm and sliced up along his ribs. Hemah screamed in pain and visions of a sleeping god danced briefly in front of his eyes, in a distant place that god stirred. Thessa prepared another spell as Hemah fell to the floor.

I'll let you draw your own conclusions from that.

BTW: The Beltane Cycle is a series of 5 interwoven stories that touch on a bunch of characters and FfH events. Its provided complete in 0.33 and should provide some interesting reading for those willing to read a lot of text in small pedia panes.

I'd interpruete it as the Overlords becomeing even more powerful without Hemah around to limit them.

Since this seems to be throw your hat in and stare in resplendant awe at the promise of more fluff hour,

Hemah dieing seems like it would have this series of actions)

1) Disturb Danalin, how much so is the real question. Loud Thump in the attic while sleeping disturb or cold glass of water to the crotch while sleeping disturb.

2) Since it's not established which came first, the Hemah or the Lords, only that one and the other are deeply intertwined, I'll theorize it would be like lobotomizing a squid. The writhing mass of angry tentacles are there, but now they lack that bueatiful angry purpose about them.

3) There's still Danalin to power the OO, but that goes back to #1

I think that Hemah is more or less a conduit that is being used to draw Danalin's power possibly keeping him asleep. Or since Hemah is Danalin's dream the shock of him dying could snap him out of his sleep (you know when you wake up after hitting the bottom in those falling dreams) which afterwards may lead him to reclaim his throne.

I don't just my wild guesses.

I dunno it seems that Hemah is Danalin's Avatar. Let me explain, if Danalin is dreaming of Hemah and Hemah can be killed then it would seem that Hemah is Danalin's will on Erabus, in a more of a sleep walking form. Now considering that Danalin is asleep and his will/dreams are being perverted by Mammon's(?) demon, Hemah's actions can be neutral at best and down right chaotic at worse.

So what would a god look like when sleep walking? Well Hemah would be that answer... As such, kill his avatar and you effect him personally and may even wake him up. Who is to say that he will not stay his current form or adopt the mannerism of the Overlords. Loosing his people and being twisted by the demon may change a god. Look at what happened to Sucellus... and possibly what is happening to Mulcarn...

Trivia question: What is the origin of the blight that effects the forest in Thessa's pedia entry?

The Infernal lands (literal), also known as Hell? Because I presume the spells she was mentioned as casting was Sanctify.

Hemah caused the blight to appear? (In game terms, Hemah casting Wonder and getting the 'plot count to 100' effect)

Agares, after being driven back by Succellus. Succellus dispelled it originally, but Hemah dreamed it back when the Ljosalfar refused him his incense.
