Fighting

for a perfect example and this is a true story:

i lended an mp3 player to a friend of mine a few weeks ago because he wanted to test it because he wanted to buy it for $70. he told me this monday that he didnt want to buy it so i asked him politely for it back. he said ok but hasnt returned it this entire week. i have given him a weeks notice and this is pissing me off because i have another friend who actually has the money and will buy it. if he doesnt give it back by wedesday, i told him i would have to hurt him. maybe break his thumb? ;)
but seriously should i resort to violence? i dont know any other way to get through to this kid. i found out just today that he has a record of doing this to others so now i am really angry.

Um, what kind of area is Forest Park? Because unless you're in the south side, I'm not sure that's the greatest idea. Maybe you should talk to him a little more, and maybe threaten him. Break his thumb, not so much.

To stay on topic, I have no problem with fighting. I don't take it from people who I shouldn't have to take it from, but I do know when and where violence is appropriate. Besides, I think I'm well enough trained to take care of what needs to be done.

Even when they push you into a puddle and ruin your clothes, then proceed to mock your entire familly?Verbal comebacks just dont cut it in that case IMO.

Why would someone do that?
I've actually never been bullied whatsoever. No one ever wanted to fight me and I don't think anybody has ever trash talked to me.

I only see such things happen when two drunk jackass start b*itch talking to each other. I've never seen someone get harrassed without having asked for it.

Is it Montreal thats different?

Its Montreal I guess.Believe me ******** bullies are everywhere.Sometimes you gotta show them that its not nice to bully people. As a personal hero of mine said:"Everytime I yank a jawbone from a skull then ram it in an eyesocket, I know I'm building a better future. "

Just because I don't fight doesn't mean that their attempts to push me into puddles are successful.

As for mocking my family, what do I care? The only reason someone would mock my family is to wind me up, so why give them what they're looking for? If you want to fall for wind ups, you go ahead, nobody bothers with someone who can't be gotten.

But lets assume they are, that they sneak attacked you. Then what?

What if they destroyed some property of yours?Like for an example a cell phone that got wet in the puddle. You cant go to the authorities because you got no proof. After all you could have tripped.

Or if they hurt someone dear to you?

those are very good reasons my man.

facial punches are one way to make me angry so are punches/kicks to the testicles

Usually when someone does something that irks me,I will just twist their arm. Depending on their crime the intensity varies. The hardest is not far from the breaking point. But there are fools that keep on pushing and sometimes you just gotta open a can of whuppass on 'em.

If I ever started a fight, that would be the last thing I started in my life because I'd be dead. I'm too little to win a fight.

Obviously, I'd at least attempt to fight back if provoked, but I'd still get my butt whooped.

I don't know, people tend not to do things like that to me.

If they did, I would go to the authorities. If I don't have enough proof to tell the authorities, then I don't have enough proof to attack them.

Cleric, you are quite the sociopath :p

OT: I do not like fights, and dont plan being in one. Since i am not at school anymore there isnt any ******** school-ethics i have to follow so fights dont really have a place anyway.

Yeah sometimes i get in fights. Usually as a last resort when all other reasonable options have failed. But i'm fairly weak so i have to be careful who i fight back.

People who get into street fights are almost universally weaklings who haven't the slightest grasp of real fighting. They are just kids who feel like they have "something to prove".

Stories of parents who believe that the best way to discipline their children is to burn them with cigarettes.

Pet owners who control a dog's barking by tying the mouth shut with fishing wire that cuts the snout and leaves permanent scarring. Or others who starve their pets to death, because they feel they are too poor to buy pet food.

Creepy old men who kidnap young girls, rape and murder them. Organizations such as NAMBLA.

District Attorney's who let the accomplices go free without prosecution, despite overwhelming evidence that they knew what was going on. Judges who sentence child molesters to 60 days in jail and 500 hours of community service.

Crackheads who leave babies to freeze to death in a dumpster, because they want to go get high.

Suffering and plight of millions of Africans who are victims of genocides and famine largely ignored and in many cases directly or indirectly caused by the wealthier nations of the world.

The hypocracy of so-called benevolent Western Powers who preach about arms control and non-proliferation, yet are themselves among the largest proliferators of weapons and war in the world.

The lack of backbone of American "leaders" in serving the best interests of the American people and the world at large.

One and one-half trillion dollars spent worldwide, yearly, and 2/3 by the United States itself, on defense spending while the average person in the world lacks even the most basic health care, clean food and water, shelter, and education. As it was best put, "We can bomb a country back into the stoneage. How about we stop dropping bombs and start dropping bananas, instead?"

The increasing encroachment of cities, towns, and suburban developments into wilderness areas, the depletion of the world's resources, and the polluting of our lands, water bodies, and air, undoubtedly causing massive health problems in exposed populations and birth defects for the future population. The fact that the US Gov't is trusted via the EPA, or Environmental Protection Agency, to preserve our environment, yet it is the US Gov't that is the single largest polluter in the country. The fact that while large corporations save millions per day by illegally dumping hazardous waste, the EPA is only allowed to fine 50 thousand dollars per day.

...but, what I think gets to me the most, is the level of cynicism, apathy, and selfishness on the part of the average human being. I cannot stand it when people ***** and moan about the trivial issues in their lives. I cannot stand the unwillingness to act. I cannot stand the complete and utter lack of awareness of what is going on in this world.

That is the kind of stuff that makes me want to fight.

@Fifty. Especially since they usually have to resort to the pack sneak attack.

Agreed.

HOWEVER, I should point out that I object to the notion that streetfights are supposed to be "man on man" or some other stupid crap notion like that. It's a streetfight. It's not about being a man, it's not about respect, it's not about rules, it's not about "real men fight 1 on 1" or other such crap notions. The idea that there is some unspoken code of streetfighting (one on one, no weapons, nobody snitches to the cops, etc.) is absolutely silly to me. I don't care if people think it's against the "code of streetfighting". I could care less if it is 20 vs 1. I could care less if it's a dude with a baseball bat vs. a guy without one. People who are stupid enough to get into a streetfight should know that there are NO rules.

And I don't want to hear a bunch of BS about "the only fights I've been in were unavoidable". I find it extremely hard to believe that anybody has gotten into a fight that is literally unavoidable. Those fights are extremely rare in my experience. Just because you aren't the primary instigator doesn't make the fight "unavoidable".
