They also redistribute across generational lines, creating ponzi schemes that can never be repaid. I don't suspect I'll ever get a dime from social security, its going to collapse. Or I'll be asked to pay even more to get the same benefits, or pay the same to get less benefits, because the system is unsustainable. It was originally a state-mandated theft from the young workers to the old, who had never paid a dime for their retirement. And now, the elderly of today think they have paid into their retirement, when they really paid into their grandparents retirement. Its a never-ending cycle of dependance on the labor of other people.

We have a similar thing already in the United States - it's called a 401(k) plan.
If the company sponsors such a plan, though there is sometimes a waiting period before it kicks in. Even without such a plan, there are IRAs.does every worker have it?
