I find it deeply hilarious we’re getting canals.

There’s no gameplay need. There’s no real historical need to include them. And they are going to be of no use in the game at all.

I love it. I've been using the option in YnAMP to prevent ice blockages at the poles, but with canals, I think I'll go back to the more realistic default ice generation and force myself to deal with it.
