For Liberty(and pwnage) Ron Paul 2012 Part II

The Paul/Stormfront connection came out in 2008. The refusal to return the money is a little strange, given that politicians usually trip over themselves to give weirdo money back (until 2002, most Republicans returned all donations from the Log Cabin Republicans. Dozens still do).

Pols meet with weirdos all the time....you meet with so many people, that a few creepers are going to sneak in there. Having regular meetings with BNP people would be another story though.

Wouldn't returning the money be indirectly supporting them?

I have to agree, Traitorfish. Either Paul has no idea who he's talking to and being snapped with (which is negligent in the extreme) or he has very shady views on various matters and cannot be described as a "moral politician".

"Both Congressman Paul and his aides regularly meet with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historic Review, and others at the Tara Thai restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, usually on Wednesdays," he said. "I have attended these dinners, seen Paul and his aides there, and been invited to his offices in Washington to discuss policy."

I wonder if this can be verified. Seems like it wouldn't be that tough for a journalist to fact-check.

Furthermore, has Paul ever publicly stated to the skinhead groups, etc that support him that he doesn't want their support?
I think that's pretty important.

I agree. Denouncing the bad seeds that support you is important. It's like how the Tea Party should have denounced the racists that supported them, or the OWS people should denounce the criminal element that associates with them.

Obama denounced Rev. Wright, for example. A candidate/movement, needs to actively distance themself from the bad element that supports them, rather than ignoring it & tacitly accepting support from that bad element.

Otherwise it seems like the candidate supports them, or at the very least is willing to take their money, which is almost as bad. It's the Sister Souljah thing. It's important to 1) show that you won't support just anyone who supports you & 2) distance yourself from crazy.

It looks like Ron Paul's past of courting racists and espousing racist views is finally catching up with him, I will continue to keep an eye on this to see how far he unravels.
No. It looks like this is nothing more than another Internet fraud. It is BS. There is so much wrong with this garbage that's hard even to start in.

1) What possible reason could Nick Griffin and Ron Paul have to engage in secret meetings? What benefit would either of them get from such a thing?

2) Anonymous has always gone after the PTB. But suddenly we are expected to believe that they changed strategy by going after a couple of anti-establishment gadflies? Come on.

3) Not only did they change strategy, they also changed tactics. They suddenly went from DoS attacks to intercepting emails (and how did they do this, BTW?)

4) Where is the contents of the announcement from the supposed communique from Anonymous? Why do we never get a copy - or even a link?

5) Why haven't the mainstream media picked up on this explosive news?

They sure have spent a lot of energy whining about the newsletters. They hate Paul because he exposes power for what it is and they worship it. They most definitely would take the opportunity to smear him as they have done in the past if there actually was some traction in the story.

Because the newspapers were evidence of his bigotry.

"They hate Paul because he's principled" is simply a childish libertarian delusion. He's attacked for every aspect of his past whether or not it's objectively justified, because that's what the media does and that's what the people like to watch. Please don't develop a victim complex.

Following the incident, he wrote on a popular white supremacist website: "Both Congressman Paul and his aides regularly meet with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historic Review, and others at the Tara Thai restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, usually on Wednesdays," he said. Does the idea of a bunch of racists getting together to meet at a Thai restaurant strike anyone else as a little bit funny?

"Damn do hate all these immigrants, but I gotta admit I can't get enough of their pad-thai!"

I think they're okay with immigrants as long as they cook their food and polish their shoes.

In an interview from Las Vegas on Piers Morgan Tonight, Morgan asked whether as a man with daughters and granddaughters, Rep. Paul (R-TX) thinks that abortion is warranted if a woman has been impregnated by a rapist.

"If it's an honest rape," Paul replied, "that individual should go immediately to the emergency room, I would give them a shot of estrogen." He claimed, however, that if a woman is "seven months pregnant" and says that she was raped, "It's a little bit of a different story."

What the hell is an "honest rape"?

Ah yes the notorious fake rape

To be fair, if a woman comes to a doctor seven-months pregnant and says she wants an abortion because she was raped seven months ago, more then a few eyebrows will go up.

Maybe she was just embarrassed by it/felt uncomfortable talking about it so she never brought it up?

But she does decide to bring it up seven months later at which point her abortion has well and truely entered into a moral grey area?
