Which historical Satanists do you have in mind? Could you provide some sources? You see, I'm not really aware of any. (Not organized ones, anyway; the only ones I can think of are isolated serial-killer types).

Satan can offer you power, and dominion over other humans. But if you choose The Lord then you will gain power through love. It may be harder to go down the path of God, but look at it this way: Many people who worship Satan who wish for immense power go mad and go blind to what they are donig because of greed.

Examples, please? The closest things I see to trolling are Elrohir stereotyping and Abaddon being somewhat immature, although not to the point of "OMG SATAN RULZ", so it's not all that bad.

I do agree that the thread has wandered off-topic, though. It may have something to do with the fact that there are so few satanists here. I asked for a clarification on that right at the start.

ABADDON/ABBADON is repeated mentioned in scripures across many religions... As an angel, as Hell, as the devil etc I was not being IMMATURE.

I wasn't specifically pointing to your post anyway. Yours was more based off of ignorance and mis-information than anything else. It's not like it's hard to find information about Satanism from a source other than Wiki (god forbid!).

What is on that page is what Satanism is actually about, including misinformation that has been spread about it. As well as the religious intolerance that seems so prevalent all of a sudden, which to me, is just ironic.

If you want to seriously ask him about his faith, then by all means. Don't just assume he's into murder and such. That's not what Satanism is about, as far as I can tell. And don't just assume he's some young kid too stupid to know any better. I don't say the same to any of you when you start talking about God.

Next time you hop up front to start defending your own religion, think about how you've treated others from different faiths. Just because you don't see Satansim as a valid religion or belief system doesn't mean you are right. I don't see Christianity as having much validity to it either, but you'd piss and moan were I to hop into every religious thread and start spouting off nonsense and misinformation about it.

Just pointing out your hypocrisy, along with the ignorance of what the belief actually is. If the mods are just going to let you kids run through and troll threads just because the belief is not mainstream, then someone should step up and point out what's wrong with what you're doing. God knows you'll do the same when someone does it to you.

And FYI, when a thread specifically states that you want to ask other Christians (or whatever faith it may be) about something, I stay out of it. If this thread was about the beliefs of Satanists, it might be different. That's not what he asked for, was it? Didn't you recently start a thread with a little "rule" that nobody should tell you DVC is a work of fiction, or you'd report them? I mean, really, if you want that type of respect perhaps you should think about giving it to others first.

Unless my grasp of the English language is failing me, he doesn't want to discuss the validity of his beliefs with non-believers. If you'd prefer a discussion like that with him, you'd be better off starting a thread of your own where you can make up your own little rules.
