Every "reply" that you click on adds the text of that thread to the reply box at the end of the page. If you move to another page and hit "reply", it takes the reply box from the previous page (and any previous quoted text) and adds the next one, too.
Up until a few hours ago this didn't work.

So, I wasn't even going to log in here today, but: a) all options for PMs (called ‘conversations’) have now changed automatically to ‘send an email whenever anything happens’.

Also, we've lost the special view for Visitor Messages. Before, I was able to follow my conversations with other posters and see all the essages we'd exchanged, isolated from the rest, in a separate page. Is that going to come back?

I also looked for a tickbox to turn off the PM spam-notices to my email and could not find one.

And I am also another member who cannot alter their 'title' under the avatar. To my knowledge the only special group to which I would belong is the 'nothing special' category. Never been a staff, a mod, or been actioned against, and don't belong to any other special membership groups of the forum (for example, not a member of the War Academy group).

It's hiding in a weird place this one! :D 'Contact Details' is where to go. Admittedly I haven't received any PMs recently so don't know if it works or not.

Will we get the [wiki][/wiki] tags back, or will there be a lot of broken links scattered throughout the fora now?

@Catharsis: yay! Found it.

Oi! Where did me noparse tags go?

So all the posts with tags will be also wrecked? :S

Unless an add-on is implemented that uses tags with the same format as the old tags, yes.

Have a look in your Profile Posts. You should see the Visitors' Messages that were sent to you. However:

1. It's very difficult now to follow those conversations. I'd have to go to the other person's profile and try to find the replies (if any).

2. The links haven't survived the move, so the kitty link that you sent me last time has vanished. :(

The above has also been reported by @choxorn, in his Mafia/NotW Statistics thread. All the actual statistics are all over the place in the thread now :ack:

Guess a few sticky threads might need a bit of mod attention once the main stuff has been dealt with.

Winston says he'll fix it as soon as he gets around to it.

and please &#305 is really ı ...

must be proof ı haven't taken over the world yet . It's ı here , while it becomes 305 something over at World History . Are different forums run by different versions of the software ? Would also like to have the reason for editing back , however trivial it , might help why and how of stuff .

Could it be made so that the numbers of pages a thread has is always visible? And could a 'new' option be added, that takes you to the first post? Like this:

The latter already exists. The blue dot you see to the left of the thread title brings you to the first unread post. :)

I would like to see the former, however. Some hover features are cool (like a preview pane for the OP), but not the pagination.

EDIT: I love how I'm a 'new member' only having joined in 2008 and clocked up a few thousand mod downloads :)

The New Member user group in the migration from vBulletin to Xenforo likely was set to be based solely on post count instead of account age.

This Xenforo looks like it could be quite good, I was having a look on the Xenfore Site and Forum and there is a boot load of plugins that can be used to enhance, simplify and change the base CMS, reminds me lot of Joomla actually, when I use to build websites. I'd say though it will most probably take a month before you get everything just right/perfect or possibly longer, after seeing it's potential, I for one like it, good choice

Is there a way to make hyperlinks, but have the text be something else than the web adress?
