Fun times to smack the enemy navy
Basically, one small failure to report, later though.
On the inherited, I switched Cuzco (as if we had other cities) to Ship of the Line.
Also, I prepared a full packed 4 galleons strike force of grens, arties and cannons, escorted by some frigates to go after the peaceful man.
Next turn, I spot these snacks on the Airship horizon:
I started the fort on GreyFox's suggestion - 1N to the current one.
As soon as Shaka came around, he got killed all the caravel escort and was left with 4 galleons on hand. As I didn't want him to land troops (Cuzco is, well, rather undefended to a AW emperor game standards), I set up the Wall of Frigates (TM) :
He turned around to flee but still it was too good an occasion to miss and I sunk his galleons next to Pasargardae.
Thinking 'Hey, look at the wi$e@ss I am sending three unescorted galleons while Inca is chasing Shaka', Cyrus managed to give us another fun time of the round
On the other side of the world, our forces were finally hitting the shores of India:
This nice city gets bombarded, attacked and razed from the ship on the next turn, getting us another annoying partisan event :
Anyway, back on our side of the world, Cyrus sent a more consistent force of 4 galleons and 4 or 5 caravels - no problemo.
Steam Road discovered in 1722 AD, I started Railroad for Combustion.
Paliputra has been bombarded to 0% (took two turns - just the time to get the land troops on site), and here we go in 1728 AD:
Those partisans are just....
A counterstrike of some mounted units manages to kill three of our grens IBT... This is the failure of the round.
I regroup remaining (quite nifty) stuff on the hill and suggest going south for Madras.
Zara broke free and is no longer loser's (sorry, Gandhi's) vassal.
Here is what I left as an apetizer for the next player in the inherited turn:
Have fun!
Oh yeah, the joke (sure you already know it):
