Besides, if he only delivers presents to children who observe Christmas, he can get rid of most of Asia and pretty hefty chunks of Africa. He can also postpone most of Eastern Europe if you limit it to children who celebrate Christmas on the Gregorian or Revised Julian Calendar. Of course, the technology involved is still pretty marvelous, but it seems a bit more feasible.

edit (I think this is right)- he doesn't really have "longer" to get the job done, he just experiences a shorter proper time than the Earth reference frame. But if he needs to get the job done in 24 earth hours then that would translate to whatever it would be in santa time. If he went at .866c he would have 12 of his hours to get the job done (12 santa hours = 24 earth hours).

It's not like he still has 24 santa hours to get the job done, if that makes sense. You don't have "longer" time available, he just experiences the time differently. I'm ignoring time zone jumps though I guess, but it's not exactly "longer". He just experiences shorter time and the distances would look smaller to him as well.
