You may have crossed the Great Wall, but good luck against my magical purple fence!

nope, desert :p my guess is he is on a premade map

That's Earth18, you can tell by the leaders. What's surprising to me is that Hatty built the Great Wall, I've never seen her do that on that map before.

EDIT: Oh, I see, he rushed Paris before Louis could wonderwhore it.

My goal was to conquer the world as early as possible, but I decided to wait for Louis. Too bad he never built anything.

They're zombie soldiers!

I must I found your signature to be odd, west india man :p

You could have just as easily high-lighted any number, lol. The average civ has 19k pop and 120k soldiers; the second place civ has 188,000 people and 361k soldiers (assuming they are the same civ). The bottom civ has 50 pop and 21k soldiers (420 times their pop in soldiers!)

I assume someone discovered robot soldiers at some point and now all armies are robots.

Heh, I'm so powerful I can raise zombie soldiers. I'm not the only one with song lyrics in their sig, btw. :p

One of the smallest civs happens to be Malagasy (tied with Portugal) - Maybe the ruler is super-paranoid about seeing a Pandemic, so he wants tons of soldiers ready at all times to quarantine the rest of the country. :p

But I'm still in the Classical Era and more advanced than anyone else, how can I have robots.

Lots of horses?

Coincidentally, I do have a lot of sources of horses. :D

mercenaries without Citizenship

But I'm running the Banditry civic, not the Mercenary one. Is the game making me hire mercenaries without me knowing?

 I can't remember his name, but an Ancient Greek guy came up with the idea of using steam power, or just wrote it down, in the Classical time period, so steampunk could be... well, possible.

Yes, Heron invented it. They even had a railroad somewhere in the Middle East in Greek influenced territory. What a pity noone ever put one and one together :(

Greeks also had working automatons (machines), IIRC, although I doubt they ever built a walking robot.
