Just a couple more with a VIPipedia on the pigs :

"The ancient Khmers were the first civilization to invent modern toilet. This came out of
necessary, rather than convenience, as the villagers would often use the palaces and other
public buildings for their needs."

"Little is known of the early Byzantine empire, but there is a generally
accepted concensus that they treated the cow with upmost respect."

This is a quirk in the game. It's a stupid feature of vassals. The more vassals you get, the less the others will vassalize. It isn't so much of a strange screenshot as it is a reminder of how crazy the rule is.

IIRC if you are the most powerful Civ in the game the others won't sign a permanent alliance with you either.

The rationale I've usually heard for this is that you're more likely to drag them into a war of your own choosing if you're really powerful.

They also won't sign a defensive pact, which is kind of stupid. Who wouldn't want the most powerful helping to protect them?

Not that I sign defensive pacts, but it is blacked out.

The theory is that since you're much stronger, only very strong civs will DoW you. As signatories to the defensive pact, the weaker civs will be forced to DoW much, much stronger civs. Therefore, it's not worth the risk.

In the middle of a serious modern arms build-up, and Toku comes out of his leave-me-alone corner with a teeny little comic relief.
Spoiler :
if the writing is too small for your eyes, he sacked my 7gpt fish contract and I offered him 6, which he accepted >_>

the indian explorer?

Ah, that's it. :goodjob: I wonder how long he's been stuck there waiting for one of those two cities to pop their borders and poop him out.

or it could be the wonderful production city of Tehran, just missing the people to actually work the mines. Or the 2F floodplains. Or the yummy apples. Or the plains hills that all look like they have copper.

Cookie to anyone who can spot the Great Lighthouse in this city - or the regular lighthouse for that matter. (No, I can't see it either :undecide:)

Yeah, is this a trick question or is the lighthouse actually in the picture?

I would like to play along but rather not waste time if the lighthouse isn't in the pic, using bare map might be helpful too, think that doesn remove any buildings if im not mistaken.

That actually happens a lot with both the GLH and the Colossus. For some reason if the game can't find a place to put them just offshore they're invisible.
