Game Schedule 2023-2026

I likewise hope these contests can continue on in some form. I've taken part on and off since nearly the beginning. I started losing sleep playing just another turn of the GOTMs in high school and still find myself coming back to it in my 40s. I likewise don't have the technical skills to directly help this effort, but would hate to see it die. There may not be many of us left, but it's a fun diversion from real life and I find myself still learning things about the game nearly a quarter century after it's initial release. Thanks to all that have/do/hopefully will keep the lights on a bit longer!

Regarding
COTM173AustriaRegent
templar_x and I were a bit unsure about the survival of this contest and demotivated, so we are a little bit late in game development. We hope to have the game out by the end of this week. Sorry for any inconvenience. I hope it will be worth waiting for.

And as I've just posted this thread, the wait is now over. GOTM site is now open for Civ3 - at least for downloading games and seeing what games are up there. It'll be a few more days before we can reopen submissions.

Would something like:
Spoiler :
"Pangea, No X/Y wrapping, custom timeline (still 540turns), european opponents starting on the coasts halfway through Middle-Ages vs. inland Zulus with slight advantages, no other rule changes"

be too weird for a Regent GOTM? Or it is within design-space of the challenge?
Anyway, count on me for that one. I'm on a Civ3 creative mood currently.

No, that would be fine. As long as the "custom timeline" doesn't need the installation of a mod or something like that.

And please, before you begin, read the instructions here and download the save-file template here!
