Games you would like to see made into a movie

 How long has that damn game been in the making? It's name is just becoming comical.

n 1997, 3D Realms announced a direct sequel titled Duke Nukem Forever. It has been shown at two E3s (1998 and 2001) and has gone through several engine changes and restarts. The developers have repeatedly stated that it will be released "when it's done". As of 2007, it is still in development, and celebrated its tenth year in development hell in March 2007.

 too bad I'll probably not live to see it released (unless I live forever :ack:)

The Command and Conquer series (Tiberium universe) is a good one to make i think (although it might end up to be too long).

Halo and warcraft would also be good.

And of course, CFC's mafia games.

Starcraft. Just don't make the characters stupid-ified, okay?

Avernum. DAMN YOU RENTAR-IHRNO! When I shout at the screen, it's captivating enough to be filmed.

Dungeons and Dragons, for real this time. I deny the travesty that was the D&D movie.

aka Duke Nukem Taking Forever, or Duke Nukem Never...

Oh my holy Moses, I cannot believe it's into two pages and nobody has mentioned it yet.

X-COM!!

I was going to mention that along with its cousin Jagged Alliance, but... how? Too many characters that are almost nameless, no scripted story beyond about five panels, the player doesn't have a main character, the story is too long, the research would almost have to be cut out... I feel that there's no good way to movie-fy it.

Clive barker's Undying. Allready has a great story.
Thief - Deadly Shadows. Medieval Thieflike person with some occult magical hoopla thrown in. Score!
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, would be sweet as well :)

Dune! Oh wait! :p

1940s style serials! They release a five minute clip every week before the main matinee. So what if it takes 5 years to tell the story. Think Flash Gordon without the strings showing on the ships.

While Thief is my favorite video game series ever, I can't imagine it making a good movie. Even I would get tired of seeing somebody sneak around for two hours!

Lemmings...

Seriously, the BG series would be excellent

The movie wouldn't be an exact representation of the gameplay of course. There's quite a bit of story, factions, characters in the game to make a good movie.

Baldurs Gate, if they could pull it of.
Pff.

Diablo (why am I the first to mention this?) also there's a rumour going around that they may already be making a movie of it ;)

I also agree that StarCraft would be amazing.

Wing Commander....oh, wait :cringe:

i'd love a Baldur's Gate Trilogy but it would probably end up like those terrible D&D movies or even worse, like the new Beowulf...

Fallout
Jagged Alliance
X-Com or UFO series
Warhammer: Dark Omen

Pong?

Or maybe not...

Leisure Suit Larry :mischief:

Why do I, when trying to picture how Diablo as a movie would be, se something like 300 except instead of 300 falanx there are (max) 8 people and instead of deformed persians there is a horde of demons. On top of that the 8 don't just hold there ground, they advance.
Not saying it's a bad concept, just that it isn't my type of movie.
