Gator01 - Team B - 100K

All our rivals except for Egypt and of course Germany have Magnetism. A Magnetism-ToG twofer might become possible at any time. Apart from Magnetism we're even with the leaders in required techs.

Munich and Kiohero should produce nothing but settlers for the foreseeable future. They aren't ideal settler pumps, but they'll have to do.

The three settlers about to be produced in our original core should be used to found cities on Centralia's peninsula. I'll provide a map of possible sites below.

Once Konigsberg has produced two or three caravels we can sail over to Bremen and eliminate the Germans.

The workers in Vladivostok are there to get Riga (and Grozny, if that German spearman ever moves) hooked up to our road network.

We need to avoid war with the Romans while we owe the English iron, for the sake of our trade route.

It's almost time for the ToE pre-build. Forbidden Legend should begin it (using the palace) after it completes its bank.

We need more territory, but we can cram a lot more cities into what we've already got. We could pack ten junk cities with temples into the Riga-Grozny-Akwesasne triangle.

The next wave of settlement:

Sounds good, NP.

I agree that we can still plump down a lot of cities on our current turf, but we need to plan a next war too. Our core cities should be about finished with the culture and money buildings and can be put to the task of building up our forces.

Who is next on our hitlist? Rome or Persia?

Great!

Whos' turn is it?

I can play on Monday, but perhaps we can persuade ainwood to jump in first? :)

Well, you talked about communism as an option to pop-rush, but the world being dry as it is, makes it less attractive. I must confess that I have zero experience with communism as government so I would like to see it in action, but I'd hate to see the now fluent economy slow down. Maybe it's an option a bit later in the game, when we have a lot more cities.

ANy thoughts on strategy to speed cultural development?

Well, we can fit many more cities onto the land we've already got, and we shouldn't hesitate to cash-rush settlers.

I don't have any meaningful experience with PtW communism either, so I don't know what to say about that interesting idea.

Thank goodness for that. I have been trying to find time to play myself. I will play Wenesday or Thursday, depending on when the save is up. Wednesday is better fo me though. ;)

Thanks for playing, Ainwood.

MB, there's only one remaining chance for a Magnetism-ToG twofer, which will arise if the Egyptians get one of them. I don't think we should wait much longer for that before simply buying both techs and getting into the IA. Since this is PtW, buying both at fifth-place prices won't be prohibitively expensive.

There's no need to be solicitous of our original core, which is completely corrupt, and we could squeeze in a few more cities there.

Sure. The Persians are building railroads now, but I have a feeling they got nationalism as their free tech. I am not inclined to fight them next now. We could... but I will see what it means to go after one of the other civs.

I am not playing yet. I just spent half an hour going through the city screens.
