Welp, it not a crime when a Republican dose it.

Georgia election data destroyed days after lawsuit filed against state officials

The data wipe was revealed in an email sent last week from an assistant state attorney-general to plaintiffs in the lawsuit. More emails obtained in a public records request confirmed the wipe.

The server, which was a statewide staging location for key election-related data, made national headlines in June after a security expert disclosed a gaping security hole that was not fixed six months after he reported it to election authorities.

It is not clear who ordered the server's data irretrievably erased.

The Kennesaw election centre answers to Georgia's Secretary of State, Brian Kemp, a Republican who is running for governor in 2018 and is the main defendant in the suit

details the destruction of the data on all three servers and a partial and ultimately ineffective effort by Kennesaw State systems engineers to fix the main server's security hole.

Georgia election server wiped after suit filed

A computer server crucial to a lawsuit against Georgia election officials was quietly wiped clean by its custodians just after the suit was filed, The Associated Press has learned.

The server's data was destroyed July 7 by technicians at the Center for Elections Systems at Kennesaw State University, which runs the state's election system.

The server data could have revealed whether Georgia's most recent elections were compromised by hackers.

I see absolutely nothing suspicious about this whatsoever.

Anything suspicious is, say it with me, FAKE NEWS!!!

Perhaps the government should think twice before entrusting state information to be administered by the education system?

I'm not pro death penalty but I'm sensing some people who should probably be hanged

Welp, it not a crime when a Republican dose it.

And you didn't think it was a crime when Democrats were doing it. So it comes across as more than a little disingenuous when you point out the hypocrisy of Republicans when you yourself are guilty of the same hypocrisy.

The government administers the education system...might be why techs wiped the data, somebody with a say about their future with the state wanted it wiped. Or maybe the wiping was accidental or routine with or without their knowledge. I suppose that last explanation can be easily eliminated.

Not many politicians want people voting if it aint for them..., You gotta be a true believer for that.

And Kris Kobach will likely be my next governor after running around the country getting constitutionally questionable legislation passed to restrict voting rights. Hopefully a Republican with an ounce of integrity runs against him, I might vote in their primary...while I still can.

Nah the FBI investigated the server and concluded which Russians breached it, but there was "no evidence" that the voting results changed, I doubt they will find anything
Its just amusing because Republicans called for the execution of Clinton as a Traitor at the moment.
