Being against gay marriage has nothing to do with Nazism.

I am aware of that...
However, that was specifically one of the similar "stances" that Repubs take that led some here to liken them to Nazis... which I thought was against forum rules, but is apparently OK when it is bashing the American right wing.

Why is it likening the Republicans to Nazis to state that an alleged Nazi party shares some positions with them? Many of these positions are pretty much a given for a right wing party whether it's the Nazi-flavoured type or not.

Is nothing new that "usa republicans" = "EU extreme right".

In italy, rep would be something between the "political agenda" of lega nord ( the populist nutcases who want north secession, no immigration, less taxes etc ) and the morals and attitude of the neo-fascist like forza nuova... ( use violence, stop abortion etc, push national identity, official state church... )
