GLOVES- Do you wear them for style or function?

Do you wear them for the function or for style? Easter is almost here, why do ladies wear them to church, if they do? Motorcycles are coming out now too, do you need gloves for that or is it a fashion statement? What do you wear them for and why? Or do you hate gloves no matter what the weather?

Your fingers freeze to death if your not wearing them when on a bike. Also if you fall, they save your knuckles! OWTCH!

Function appart from my suarve and sophisticated leather driving gloves. Terrible to actually wear while driving, but look cool when just wandering bout, and very warm.

Hey Anny R *wink*! I know nothing about fashion I only wear gloves for winter time although I imaging wearing gloves to church is a functional use to "protect" the lady's hands. I bet the reason for motorcyclists wearing gloves might be so they dont hurt their hands on long rides by holding the handle for so long.

I don't wear gloves, and I know very few people that do. Of course, I live in California, which while is generally warm, it has been raining here for a very long time.

I hate gloves and avoid wearing them in the winter. However, this is not always possible.

I only wear gloves when doing menial work, playing sports, and when I'm on my bike in cold weather. Otherwise, they're totally not my style.

Both. In wintertime, my leather gloves go with my leather jacket and keep my fingers from freezing.

But to answer your question, function with style. I need the to either 1. protect my hands while biking or 2. keep them warm when it's cold. But they better not be ugly as hell.

Only gloves I own is a beat up pair of Chinese Air Force surplus leather gloves. I wear them only when my fingers are starting to hurt from the cold. And they're ugly (the gloves).

you wouldnt believe how cold your fingers get when the winds zipping by pulling all the heat out of them.
