Goz-9 Auto-workers reloaded

Lose a flak (a worthless unit in my opinion, in 2.5 years of playing this game I’ve never seen one shoot down a plane.)

...

Just a lot of bomber action in the south and the far north

I found the only use for flaks is it scares the AI to not attack the stack or important cities with planes

:goodjob: on the war front

IBT – Lose a tank on the approaches to Detroit.

1650 – Disconnect one oil (Yanks are down to two sources)

Shell and attack Babylon…

That has got to hurt Abe’s economy! Sun Tzu is there as well! That is worth 149G to our cash flow. Bump up science and drop Synth Fibers to 10 turns.

Fat finger some artillery into the woods. Shell and capture Cleveland

Found Pompeii. Kill three defenders in Detroit.

Start marching on Memphis (source of one American oil) and Eulbar (the other source), then our workers run towards the front to repair all our shelling damage. Bump science again to get synth fibers in nine.

Here is are the two fronts:

The last two sources of oil are circled. There is a third to the north that can be disconnected with bombers if they connect it again.

There is a settler at pink dot. That will have our :smoke: workers able to build a road to the front.

Here is the power curve:

Abe has chosen poorly. We are now average to the Americans militarily.

And the save: http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads10/Goz9,_1650_AD.SAV

Merry Christmas everyone! May there finally be peace on earth.

That's some mongering, very impressive. But the build-up to this is even more impressive.

This forum is sick! I had at least another 30 lines of praise, but in a cry it just went back to my other page. Is this a bug? I'ts like the third time I've seen it, but I think: Be patient. Calm down and everything will be alright.

I am calm.

Well, I better mention the crap:

I went through a 2 hr surgery yesterday to burn off some nerves in my back. It did nothing.

In two weeks I will know more (second surgery)

Don't found that city, once heard that if you found a city on damage the automated workers will try to clean the damage but can't and that will hang the computer, similiar to how automated workers get hung up when there is an invisible unit on the square they are trying to improve (for all those RaR players out there). Never experienced this glitch but I'm 90% sure that it exists. Hopefully a player or one of our lurkers can confirm this.

This would make the central plan completely not workable then. Without roads it takes too long. We should then shift our forces to the northern or southern routes.

Oh, buddy, take care!

I am still busy now, and might get some time in Jan ...

Roster Check

Kaiser_Berger - UP
gozpel
dl123654
Bugsy - Just played
Heroes - Busy till January

I was thinking I would take it back and play another 10.

I'm back after some days away, my server played up the day we went for holidays so I couldn't post anything.

If no one has taken it yet, I'm ready.

But I rather want a confirmation from Bugs, so we don't play a double.

Not much to write home about, really. This is over already.

The first 3-4 turns gives us control of the eastern side of the continent, with the usual give and take IBT. But America is more or less gassed already and I want to end this as quick as possible.

1675AD - We can start going at Abe's main cities, take Memphis and raze Miami. I'm building settlers to fill in here and there.

1680AD - Raze Chicago and start assaults in the northern part by taking Dallas.

1685AD - Raze Vladivostok.

1690AD - Take New York and Atlanta, keep them to get deeper in to their territory.
Raze St Petersburg.

1700AD - Grab 4 more cities and we are at domination limit.

1705AD - And we win :)

Thanks guys, it was a strange game, but fun.

Cheers and thanks, comrades! Civ 3 deity is a piece of cake ...
Very sadly, I will get busier and busier in the near future, so have to retire from this interesting community of civ sucession games. I only actively participated 2 SGs which were finished: GR8 "phoenix rising" and this one. Both are great fun. I will remember you guys, and wish you happy civ and real life ... :)
