GRAND OPENING: CivFanatics File Database

Thunderfall's corrected it. Looks like Shiro himself uploaded it but forgot that he made it!

However, that unit had actually already been uploaded by someone else (and put in the wrong section, until I moved it). I've deleted that original upload, since I thought it made more sense to keep the one that Shiro himself uploaded.

Np, he didn't upload it. After I edit the entry, I re-assigned the file to Shiro. :)

Been a busy bee uploading, dont worry i will go back over my first efforts and tidy them up.

This is cool. I've upload two of my cities graphics.

Very useful at all, but for now it's little small. (There are only 20 cities graphics libraries)

I just uploaded an improvement, and it isnt appearing on my list(my files)...its in the database, and someone already d/l it...but I like to watch my graphics get d/led...is this a glitch or am I waiting for approval or something?

Why don't we make a section with the best PCX, units and LH of the month?
I think it's a good idea.
What do you think?

It's a bad idea for the following reasons:

(1) If the "best" files were in a section by themselves, they wouldn't be in the same section as all the other files, so people browsing the collection wouldn't see them.

(2) You'd have to move files from section to section every month. And since I'd probably be the person having to do it, I can testify that that would be annoying.

(3) There'd be no point whatsoever. The database is arranged so that people can find files they actually want, not according to which ones are considered the best. If people want to know which ones have won the awards they can look in the relevant threads.

ok, then are Civ Army's LHs having trouble?...I tried the Rapa Nui LH, and several of the South American ones, and 404 errors all around...

I have both a wireless, and a DSL connection on seperate computers, and Ive tried Firefox, and IE...I can D/L stuff that is "uploaded"(like attachments) but not from the DB...<sigh>

Hey, you're right. They don't work. I don't get the 404 error, the page simply doesn't load.
