One statesman name for America needs to be Henry Clay:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Clay#/search

He's considered one of America's five greatest Senators, and was instrumental in brokering several compromises between North and South prior to the Civil War. He was also greatly admired by Lincoln.

Also:
Daniel Webster
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Webster
Same era as Clay, helped shape several Supreme Court cases and negotiated a treaty to define the eastern border between U.S. and Canada.

John C. Calhoun

Here are some additions/alternative to Chep's Indonesian GS List:

1900 AD - 2000 AD

Djuanda Kartawidjaja (Proponent of the 'Juanda Declaration' which gave Indonesia special nautical territorial rights over the archipelago.)
Sutan Sjahrir (First Prime Minister of Indonesia, one of the most important founding fathers of Indonesia)
Hamengkubuwono IX (Sultan of Jogjakarta region, an important figure throughout the early eras following independence, and also Indonesia's 2nd Vice-President under Suharto)
Danudirja Setiabudi/Douwes Dekker (A Dutch-Indonesian political activist that played a big role in the early rise of the concept of Indonesian independence)
Radjiman Wedyodiningrat (A figure that plays numerous different roles throughout the early seeding of Indonesian nationalism to its realization)
Soetomo (Founder of 'Budi Utomo' the first major Indonesian organization that gradually become one that emphasizes on its independence.)
Agus Salim (Played a key role on formeting Indonesian constitution, and also one of Indonesia's Foreign Minister)

1800 AD-1900 AD
Raden Ayu Kartini [Female GP] (Pioneer of Indonesian women's rights)

There's a difficulty to find potential GS in Indonesia prior to the 1900s. Most of the notable individuals recorded of that time that are considered to play a large role towards the consolidation of Indonesian identity are rebel leaders that fought via armed resistance against the Dutch rule which would be more fitting as Great Generals.

Going to try to modify #19's list with his "Rasputin-Lenin-Gorbachev-Vodka-Balalaika".
RUSSIA
It's the ones I do remember on my own, if someone going to modify this list, pls do it.

Pre-mongol with a center in Kiev.
Vladimir the Great Brought Christianity in Rus'.
Yaroslav The Wise Code of laws, was one of the most succesful rulers in Russia.
Vladimir Monomakh As far as I remember "Gainer of all Russian lands" or something like this. Don't remember ;d
If Leoreth don't like someone of these, then, as option, Yuri Dolgorukiy, found Moscow.
Nevskiy is already represented as GG in game, if i'm not mistaken.

With a center in Moscow.
Ivan I Kalita As far as I remember, he was attracting influence in Moscow, was developing Moscow etc. Don't remember what he did exactly tho.
Ivan IV Grozniy. Conquered some lands for us :3
By the way, in the beginning he wasn't so... terrible, he was much succesful statesman in early years, when he got old, he gone mad tho ;c
Peter I The Great. One of those who have this "Great" not invain. First actual, serious contact with Europe, political and economical on highest level. As people are saying "opened a window in Europe". Built a fleet, kicked turks few times, swedes, also as reformed all aspects of life in Russia a lot.
And he was first Emperor of Russia.

Russian Empire
Ekaterina the Great (II) Was ruling succesfully, even though peasunts were suffering even more, few rebellions in diffrent places. But for country itself it was golden age. Enuf said.
Alexander III. Don't know what he did exactly, but I have seen monument for him ;d
Nikolay II. Last Emperor. Enuf said.

USSR
Uncle Joe ;d
Mr.No
Brezhnev in the end. Even if not "Great" at least not bad.
But definitely NOT Lenin and not Gorbachev.
RSDRP(b) of Lenin drowned country in destructive and one of the most bloody civil wars in human histroy.
Don't know what's up with Gorbachev there exactly. But he's definitely not GREAT statesman. During his "reign" empire disappeared and its remains simply dissolved in complete chaos...

And not Alexander II "Liberator", idk how exactly he liberated people, but "people" killed him later. Strange, isnt' it?

Note that I did not include Emperors, as they were more of a "prophet" figure rather than a "statesman," if "Great."
I am somewhat against including monarchs for other Civs as well, since I feel this should be a list of Great politicians, not "Great Rulers." (of course, historically unclear civs like the Mayans or Egyptians might be an exception, though.)
