Alexander gave orders to troops to reatreat. Cyrus moved his chariots in the area and troops were too damaged to defend. One troop was transported in Athens with ships, while the other retreated in Sur. Phoenicians had agreed not to open their borders to Persians. Moreover, Phoenicians had a respectable army in Sur, so Persians won't declare war on them. This meant that the greek army could use the Phoenician borders as a secure base.

Alexander gave order to Diospolis' guards to move to Hierosolema and help.

Spoiler :

The world at the birth of Thales.

Spoiler :

The Judean front.

At this point Pericles, political leader of Athens takes advantage of the situation and tries to get the leadership in Greek world.

Pericles:
Spoiler :

Pericles, elected leader of Athens. He made Athens a great military and commercial power in Greece transforming the delain league into Athenan Hegemony (Empire). Parthenon was one of his orders.

Pericles is connected to the Golden Age of Athens and one of the most influencial leaders in the classical era Greece.

Pericles wants to fulfil his historical destiny. Moreover, he wants to make a peace treaty with Persians. According to him the Persian cities are too undevelopped, so Greece has nothing to gain from the destruction of this civ. Conquering at a later point seems more logical to him.

Policy:
*Use two GPs to start a golden age (spawn a non priest one)
*Build the Parthenon
*Make peace treaty with Persians.

Alexander the Great:
Spoiler :

King of kingdom of Macedon, elected military leader of Greek of the Hellenic League, Pharaoh of Egypt, Lord of Asia and Shahanshah of Persia. Alexander succeeded and replaced his father Philip II. Alexander was unbeatable and managed to conquer the Persian Empire, which included Egypt, and an Indian kingdom. He freed the people of the Persian Empire from the authoritarian Persian rule and founded tens of cities. His legacy remained deep into the memories of the peoples of his empire. Central Asians still memorise him today, and he is known from oral traditions that travel from fathers to sons. He planned to conquer Arabia and even Rome, but he died in a young age.

Alexander wants to extend the Greek world in the East to its full historical borders through settling and conquest. Unstability and economical crises won't hurt his expansionism at all. He wants to continue the war. He will replace the conquered cities, if they become razed, so postponing the war seems useless to him.

Policy:
*Conquer the rest of Persia.
*Settle cities in eastern historical greek areas (Mesopotamia, Persia if it is left with no cities, Egypt)
*Slow down research to upgrade all warriors.

Thales from Miletus:
Spoiler :

Thales national philosopher, mathematician and astronomer. He managed to predict an eclipse of the moon. He was one of the seven sages of Greece.

Thales as an engineer depicted in the game wants to construct a great building that will stand the test of time. He want interfere with politics, the political power will remain the same as before.

Policy:
*Finish a wonder in capital (the wonder that costs the most).
*Maintain the previous policy.
