The piece of equipment in question saw limited use, which is why more countries didn't use it. Brazil is the odd one.

It was an American-made piece of equipment, so not available to axis countries beyond capture.
To clarify, the piece of equipment was used in India during WWII, but under British command, so the original source for the map excluded India as an operator. I wasn't aware of that when I made the map.

It's not an obscure item, but not iconic either.
It is a weapon. Its use in the Pacific and India was limited.

In Europe, the Soviets weren't fond of it and relegated it to less important fronts. The British didn't use it on the western front outside support but used it elsewhere. The Aussies and Kiwis desperately needed it when the war broke out -- well not it specifically, but the class the item is in.
Bingo. I was trying to be coy. Aussies and Kiwis were severely lacking in tanks at the outset. Their attempts at designing their own stopped when M3s were delivered. The Pacific didn't see much tank warfare though so their use was sporadic.
Brazil had them in Italy, from what I gathered, as hand-me-downs from the British and Americans following the North African campaign. The British used them quite a bit against Rommel, but by Normandy, had relegated them to support rolls.
