Most of continental Europe used to be yellow (i.e. Firefox), that's not particularly "German".

(I can't explain to you why we have retained this habbit while everyone else has switched. I'd have to understand why anyone would make the insanely stupid choice to use Chrome in the first place. I - gladly - don't. So that's that.)
