“It’s him! He’s the Covenant!” one shouted.
“What are you talking about? It’s obviously him over there!” came from another.
This type of yelling went around for a while. Around noon Earth Standard Time, a pocket of people started yelling for the lynch of one man. A pocket of three more went after another a bit later in the day. Accusations were being flung around faster than a frigate could go into hyperjump.
The Shipmaster was sitting calmly in his chair on the bridge, listening to all of this. He looked to his right and saw the bright star slowly fading over the horizon. It reminded him of Sanghelios and its bright star. The Shipmaster snapped back into reality and decided that he had had enough of this chatter. “ENOUGH!!” he declared. Everyone turned and looked his direction, and the room became silent. “We are getting nowhere with this. No one shall die today. That is my command. Now, go to your quarters, and keep your weapons close. This might be a long night.”
“You heard the man, Marines. To your quarters!”
“Man my ass,” one Marine muttered as he walked towards the door. He caught a nasty glare from Johnson. Johnson took a step towards the marine, then stopped, seemingly reconsidering what he was about to do.
“Damn kids these days,” Johnson muttered to Master Chief as they walked off towards their quarters. All Master Chief did was stare on ahead, thinking about what was in store for the upcoming night.
OK, I'm reading my Role PM, I'm a standard ability-less vanilla townie, VC: town outlives mafia, please ignore me as the only thing I can do is use my votes and my posts, which I seldom do.
Oh brother, do you really think that sort of thing will actually work? I'm going to vote for you after one person and before another person because you probably have some evil joker role that kills the first or last person to vote for you.
