My roommate's cat somehow pulled it into my bedroom (as I was falling asleep), mortally wounded it and then ran away. I awoke to the poor thing flopping around on the floor next to my bed, bleeding everywhere. My $50 electric seemed to be the most solid thing I had to quickly put it out of it's misery.
