Babale....try not to get too over-zealous too soon. Start out with small bonuses and minor quests, otherwise you won't have anything for later.
Also, if the quest is too hard, Verdian will very likely ignore it and you won't gain his worship for some time, if ever.
I love the Gal-Dur quest idea originated by Lgaard, and would like to see the Ogres implemented as the ancient fortress' defenders. Two might be a bit much, but they could always be given the plague, withered, rust, or whatever, to make them a little more manageable in the first 100 turns or so.
Or, perhaps one withered Ogre and a few goblins. You could give the Ogre a unique name, perhaps a piece of equipment, etc.
Just a thought....of course, feel free to take things in the direction you want to, I just don't want to see you overdo the first couple interventions and then be bored for the rest of the game because you ran out of good ideas.
