HOF V3 game -Kursk

And I will play the First Japanese turn on Friday to get things moving! Thanks to Bow for taking on Nature so the rest of us don't have to do so!

When you say e.g. 4/5 BB kills CA etc. do you take the unit health from before or after the battle?

I'd say after, but it feels weird to write it that way. A little more natural for the HP figures would be:

5/5 BB vs. 4/4 CA => 4/6 BB

But that's more cumbersome to write...
 
Hey Eric or anyone else...I have the game crashing during the load of the save. Says I am missing the V1 plant in the txt folder. I had downloaded the 3-14 biq file but is/was a new art/txt files that I'm missing? Did anything change other than the biq in between the end of FHTE and now Kursk?

Can't understand trade route system. OK, Commercial docks. But why no trade connection between Asian Japan and Tokyo? (no rubber).

Also, can Russia trade oil to Japan or it must go from Sumatra via units?

This is a bug in civ, at the start of the game no overseas trade routes exist. As soon
as something happens, such as a road tile is destroyed or a new road is built,
the civ engine will calculate all the trade routes and Tokyo will be connected
to the Asian mainland.

Check your pediaicons.txt file, does it have an entry like this in it?

Well guys...don't know what to tell you. Until Eric can advise me on the loading the save problem I am dead in the water. My C3C is otherwise working fine. And I had no problems having just finishing the From Here to Eternity HOF game. Sorry. Ive sent screen captures to Eric via email but no replies back yet.

Bow, By chance are you using the civassist2 program mentioned earlier here in the thread?

Eric, did you make any changes to the art/txt files in between the end of FHTR and the beginning of Kursk?

Again, I loaded a save from FHTE and the game opened fine?

The only thing I've done since then is to download and extract the 3-14 biq into the Scenarios Folder.....
 
Hi Bow, Yup I downloaded and extracted the two 3.14 files into the C3C Scenarios Folder and I see them there. I had/have no problems loading a save from the previous FHTE game. I can't figure out why it is crashing on the V1 during loading of your save??

Any other thoughts???
 
Eric...PLEASE email direct...I wondering if the 3.14 biq link could be corrupt? Send the 3.14 biq zip file for me to try..if that doesn't work then I will go to atomic gamer and start all over...
 
Ok folks I finally have the problem fixed thanks to Eric. I will do my best to play the turn tonite but NLT tomorrow and sorry for this delay. Thanks for everyone's patience!
